Google Nest 2nd Gen Sleep Sensing - What Do You Do about It?

Hi,

With Google nest 2nd gen, it comes with sleep sensing free (at least until the end of 2022); I'm interested to know what people are doing with the data collected and presented to you?

Do you do adjustment to your sleep pattern?
Do you put a mouth guard to make sure you are not snoring as often?
Others…

Thanks

Why do Google want to know when you're sleeping?

Multiple reasons. Start by collecting the data so they can price ads accordingly. More expensive for the advertiser when you're awake.

    • Maybe Santa is outsourcing?

Do you do adjustment to your sleep pattern?

I sleep randomly, there are no patterns.

So your teeth don't get knocked out?

Thanks for all of your responses - so no one really do anything based on that data, I guess?

    • It can help you form good sleep habbits, such as:
      - finding ideal time to go to sleep
      - keeping track of behaviors which promote good sleep
      - find things that disrupt sleep
      - find out how many times you woke up during the night and how long was each sleep phase
