I still prefer Splashtop HD (also on sale now for $8.65) in term of speed and screen quality. However i understand that some people doesn't like to install any more app unncessarily.
splashtop is not good for some screen size and slow network.
depends what you need. for video and fun stuff, splashtop is great.
why not get jump desktop, only 5$. I use that for many months now, very good and fast.
btw, jump also supports vnc in addition to rdp.

Jump Desktop is much cheaper and better interface. Also mouse cursor of Jump Desktop is the best ever for small screen. Use it for like a year !
