who sells the most unlikely items.. Costco or Aldi??

    • +1

      Aldi

      • +24

        Apple.

haven't seen a single apple on the shelves!

        • you won

  • Does anyone know if it's the S/M or the M/L?

    • Both options were available when I brought

      • Hmm, mine only lets me select between silver or black, not sizes

        • +4

I was able to select size after choosing colour

  • +1

Thanks OP. Ordered. For those asking about sizing, choose colour then size.

I want to ask a different question.
1- Does this protect user from lightning?
2- Or does it produce the lightning?

  • +2

Does the helmet have MIPS ?

    • Doesn't look like it

    • +3

If you're looking for a reasonably price MIPs helmet Giant has the Relay MIPS ($75RRP) and Compel MIPS (with visor) ($79.95RRP)

Not the lightest helmet out there but is good value for money for a MIPS helmet

And please don't forget, with helmets it's also about fit and comfort!!!!

    • Is MIPS much better? I looked into it quickly and it seems like it depends on the overall build of the helmet and some might still be better than MIPS anyway. Would appreciate some insight if anyone knows.

      • +1

Good for high speed crashes where secondary impacts is more likely

Other brand have their own mips like technology with different name

  • How do these compare to something like the Diamondback ones sold at Big W? They look fairly similar.

  • I wonder if there is any way of doing a search on the costco website for products ending in 97 cents (their markdown price)…

      click the "last chance" section

  • How does Costco do with the shipping of items to regional/rural areas?
What are their shipping prices like, normally fair?
Thinking about joining but I'm nowhere near a store and I'd be having to order online and have items shipped.

    • +1

Most of the items (if not all) include shipping. That's why website price is typically $10 or more than instore price.

Obviously some items may cost more than $10 to ship, some less, and if you are buying multiple small items it may seen you pay a lot in shipping.

  • I can't find any internal photos, not even their website, very limited information.

    • Even the guy doing the review refuses to show you the inside. :D

Anyway there's nothing interesting, probably just some padding, it wouldn't have MIPS at this price point.

      • I find a used helmet photo, padding looks better than the Kmart $20 one, but not mips for sure. Just ordered one.

  • Another alternative for a budget helmet is this brand in Kmart for $20

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/enduro-helmet---large/21403…

Found to be very comfortable and good quality

For those after black, there's the Netti Fuse option for the same price on Costco's website:
    https://www.costco.com.au/Sports-Fitness-Leisure/Bikes-Scoot…

Seems to retail for slightly more ($59.95) on the Netti website.

    • Cheers :)

Cancelled my other order (within 30 minutes) and ordered this one.

    • +1

Can't see any real differences but a higher RRP is tempting…..

  • Also in store?

  • This is the same helmet I have and use. I didn't know where I got it from and never really checked, but it's funny seeing this here.

  • I use this with my $9000 bike. Not joking.

Thanks, ordered from 99bikes (yes I am a member) with using price beaten 5%.

    • What a good idea! BRB gonna do the same (shhh)
