Cashrewards - Positive Review

Searching on here, seems nearly every post relating to Cashrewards has issues. hmmmm.

Here's goes my story.

Purchased a TV during black Friday last year.

  • turned off adblocker and it what do you know it tracked it from eBay. Received email confirmation.
  • issue with the cashback amount/%. It fixed itself after a couple of days.
  • Cashback was approved after 60 days (I think time frame has to do with refund policies)
  • Requested cash payment.
  • 4 business days later, $493.54 is in my bank account today.

Made the cost of the TV slightly more bearable.

Anyway, in my near 7 years and 70-80 transactions later, I've never had an issue with CR that it wasn't eventually tracked/paid. Sometimes, it doesn't always track, but CR had always fixed up the issue. If CR can't track it, Tightarse on OZB will assist you.

I'm not saying that you'll never have a problem with Cashrewards, but follow the guidelines and I'm confident it will work, eg. use Chrome or Firefox (not Safari), turn off adblocker and click the website from within CR. I don't install the extension as I dislike too many add-ons.

Sorry for the click bait, but for every poor review/non tracking, there's probably 100 positive reviews that you don't hear about. Just balancing the ledger.

I used Shopback a couple of times when they have promo's, that works for me too

    What brand is the TV?

    • LG

  • $500 referral cashback on a TV? Doubt.

    • yeah unlikely to get an exact round number for a cash reward.

      $493.54 on the other hand….

  • So the store lost money on the sale!

Didn't know shops were charitable rather than a profit-making purpose.

    • I'm not privy to Ebay's marketing strategy but happy to make hay while the sun shines.

Just like with anything it's only those who have had a bad experience who write negative reviews.

I use Edge, but some people setup Chrome profiles specifically for using CR/SB and not having to manage adblockers etc.

Cashrewards is definitely the better of the two. Glad you've had good experiences with both!

Thanks for posting. I agree, a lot of people don't realise that people usually only write posts when they have a complaint, so they'd have a skewed impression if they solely relied on those posts.

I've used them for years myself, without ad blockers or any other filters and have had my purchases track fine, even high-value ones.

How much did cashrewards pay you for this post 🤣 Kidding, yes lots of successful tracking for me and perhaps lots of newbie posts here where it’s their fault.

    • $493.54 recently haha

And another $1k over the years.
