SNSHAGI

Edit: Now $31 cheaper! $737 -> $706

First Post!

Been sitting on the fence for a while but couldn't resist this awesome deal on the Webber Spirit 2 BBQ. Rarely comes on special. This looks like the cheapest ever and the cheapest you will ever get this for considering Weber raised their prices across the range on February 1st. Appliances Online seems slow to implement the new RRP.

Over 25% off the new RRP $999 (was increased from $899) on the first of February.

Just ordered one with delivery tomorrow.

The E320 is also available at $851 ($248 off rrp of $1099). Expired.

Cover also available for $100 which is $20 off.

Wirecutter and Choice Magazines Top Pick!

Appliances Online have the tendency to fluctuate with their prices so if you want it I suggest moving quickly.

Don't forget your discounted Gift Cards!

Now can someone recommend a good generic BBQ Cover?!

Used my flybuys to buy one of these; absolutely love it. Have been going through a few gas bottles with it.

How this model compare to the Weber Family Q BBQ 3100/3200? They are similarly priced.

    • +1

I can't compare how they cook however if looking at build quality it seems the Spirit II is a no brainer if similarly priced.

Also, 10 Year Warranty on the Spirit II vs 5 Year Warranty on the Weber Q's

      • I thought Weber Q was good built quality, but if the Spirit has double the warranty period, then it must be even better built quality. cheers.

        • +1

Was o the fence between the Family Q and the E320. Ended up getting a 320.

The benefit of 3 vertical burners compare to 2 of the family Q meant that there is better direct and indirect cooking setup. Also bigger cooking area on the 320.

    • +1

For practical purposes, E310 has larger cooking surface area, and 3 burners compared to Q3200. Based on just that, the Spirit is a better deal for this price.

I think the real value to YOU would be the accessories in each system. What else would you need, and how much would it cost, for you to cook the dishes you'd want to cook?

I own a 3200 and Drawbacks to it are that I wish it were tall enough for me to throw a tall crock pot on.

Went from a 6 burner Kmart special to the Weber family Q. Miss having different temperature zones for different things eg lower temp for say chicken wings on one side and hot af for searing steaks on the other. Spirit would be my pick for this reason.

      • Good point to consider for different heat zone control, makes sense.

    • Spirit for the reasons mentioned above. Great BBQ

    • I did this comparison at a bbq shop on Sunday, the sales guy was very honest and told me by the time I bought all the extras (e.g. flat hot plate) I would spend more on the family q than the spirit.

      • I thought both BBQ don't come with hotplate?

        • The Spirit does come with hotplate as an extra

  • They're a great bbq. Cooks a mean roast.

  • No delivery to regional Vic for me

    I support LPGBBQ rights.

      I prefer the Nvidia version
      LPGBBQTi

  • Great price, I paid $50 more and thought that was a good price. None the less an excellent BBQ.

  • Great price and great bbq. I got mine from appliances online last November. However they cancelled my original order and said it was because they couldn’t get stock. It then went out of stock on their website. Came back in stock 2 weeks later but at full price. I rang them and complained and they ended up matching the original deal. Hopefully yours is delivered with no issues. Enjoy.

  • Doesn't allow postage to the ACT… But Appliances online do through their website for free. Cant use coupon through that though..

  • If it’s just for two of us should I just buy the 310 or is an extra $100 or so for the 320 a significant improvement for the price?

    • +1

Ask yourself if you see a use for the side burner on the 320 or not? I think that is the difference.

I have a weber genesis with a side burner, mainly find it useful for cooking stuff that would stink out the house like some curries.

      • +1

        Thanks Chopper.

  • Curious as to the price of these compared to a generic 3 burner. Is it the build quality and warranty or the design makes it cook better

    • +1

      Temperature control.

That's the biggest thing. Cheap BBQs generally have rubbish temp control, you can't get the BBQ hot enough or it's too hot. These have very very good temp controls. Can do very low heat from low and slow but can also sear steak with a brilliant crust.

I used to think it was so overblown bunkum, then I used one and realized the huge difference it makes in cooking enjoyment and the taste of the food. I can't and won't go back now!

      • Is this temperature control a special or patented design feature or is it the better materials used in the construction

        • +1

Precision tooling for the sizing of the gas jet hole things and air intake etc

  • +1

Get the Weber BBQ cover…try for it during sale time if possible….mine has lasted 4 years and still looks new. I used to go through one generic every 18 months!

    • Got a link to the Weber BBQ cover that fits the E310?

    • +1. Just replaced my genuine Q cover, had been outside since 2014. The genuine ones are good.

  • It was showing as sold out a second ago, now back. Must be very few left.

EDIT: Showing as Out of Stock now.

  • Wont allow postage to Sydney, so weird

  • Hmm. can you get stainless steel grates for this model?

  • hmmm can't find the natural gas model… was going to get one for my dad but he needs the natural gas version.

  • Could be a new model announced soon. Watch this space

    • Could be. And it will probably be $999 or more and exclusive to Weber stores initially.

      • Could also see more of these ones on clearance.

  • Waaaaa it’s oos

    • Back in stock.

I bought the 320 from this deal on ebay this morning - it had been showing as "last one" for three days. After using a $10 gift card and then 3% off using eBay gift cards through the shopback app it cost me approximately $816 and is being delivered tomorrow!

    • +1

You are going to love your new BBQ. Welcome to the Cult of Weber!

      • I've been watching their videos on YouTube all day - so excited!

  • +1

Bought one in the spirit of OzBagainer! Too bad the e320 won't ship to Sydney!

    • I had the same issue but 310 looks just fine. I was going to buy the Q3200 which is more expensive but in the spirit of ozbargain, I waited a few days.

      • +1

I did some research post purchase just to validate my purchase and I reckon you have made an excellent choice to go for the spirit line instead of the Q line. E310 is supposed to be a better built, with higher burner power and bigger cooking area, but it's much heavier.

        • Thanks for the info. I had a quick look but it felt like they were selling out quickly so took a bit of a punt. Mine just got delivered.

  • +2

Back in stock with delivery date of 1-4 March!

    • Mine was quoted the same on ebay but is being delivered today after I ordered only yesterday! Ebay listing said only one in stock and assuming it wasn't a coincidence that it was located in my city already, what does this mean about appliances online stock - are they just a middle man?

      • Must be! Got an email saying delivery tomorrow now.

      • +1

I just got mine. One of the best, most efficient deliveries I’ve had in my life.

  • I've had the E320 for a while now. I really like it (always preferred charcoal). One thing that pisses me off is I have had about 10 fat fires, including some that have damaged the lid and completely ruined dinner.

So I need to get into the guts to clean it out, which I really shouldn't have to do because everything should just burn off or drip down.

  • Dumb question but does this come with a gas bottle?

    • Nope, would be nice if it did!

    • no, but you only need the gas bottle because it comes with all the hoses and fittings to connect it. you can buy an empty from Bunnings and fill it up at a service station or buy a full one from Bunnings.

      • Is Bunnings the cheapest option for gas bottles?

        • +1

Bunnings will only do gas bottle replacements (in my area at least…).

Anaconda will fill your existing bottle at $19.99 (Club price), you just have a wait of 10-15 mins.

  • Hmm very tempting!

My family Q is starting to get a bit old and I was originally thinking to get a replacement Family Q (they are so good!) but this looks like the way to go now?

  • Been using this over a year and it’s a great unit. Can’t go wrong. I don’t remember what I paid but it was well below rrp and came with a free Weber bbq cover. Also from Appliances Online.

  • Missed out on the E320 :(

  • still have the 2 burner version, purchased with Qantas FF points from the deal a few years ago here. Going strong, however wouldn't mind having more cooking surface for larger gatherings. I guess that's why 2 burner version got discontinued and replaced with the one OP posted.

Just Noticed in store that Costco has the E310 Premium, standard price $859.99.

Comes with Cover, Roasting Rack, Flat plate, which is worth over $200 OEM.

    • Which state u r?

Costco online shows out of stock in Sydney.

      • ACT, it isnt shown on the online site.

        • Went to Costco yesterday, the model in Costco is Spirit, not Spirit II. Google it, found there're some different. So pull the trigger at eBay.

  • Back in stock

    • But unable to post to Metro Brisbane?

  • OOS :(

    • Back in stock and cheaper than before larrydavid

      • Ooooooooooooooo, I just picked up the 320!

    "Edit: Now $31 cheaper! $737 -> $706"

I'm finding this very hard to resist!

    • No, you aren't. bc it is out of stock just after 2 sold :)

  • +1

Seriously amazing price for a good bbq with a 10 year warranty.

  • +1

    Out of stock again.

Just notice just 2 sold after the price dropped. Hope it will be back in stock tonight.

  • Bought and set this up. Pretty easy to put together but took close to 2 hours doing alone. Very happy so far. Surprised to find it cones with a griddle also

  • Bought a 310 on Wednesday evening and it was delivered to South East Melb Thursday lunch time, definitely can't complain about an 18 hour turnaround!

  • Back in stock and place an order.

    • WTF?

They will post the 320 to Brisbane but not the 310?

Wtf is going on appliances online?

      • I think that's because they don't have 310 in their QLD warehouse.

        • Yep it's local stock.

Family member of mine in Perth bought the 310 at 6.30pm and it was delivered at 2pm the next day. Wow!

  • So who actually Bought one?

How are the hot plates? Are the grills tin or cast iron enamel?

Overall quality? Is it like a tin can?

  • Even cheaper now. 10percent off with afterpay

  • Been telling myself we don't need, but damnit we finally caved in.

$663 with gift card cash back and Afterpay 10% off.
