Also only a 50% chance of it actually getting delivered.

Still better than Menulog driver who decided to "deliver" my order despite never getting coming close to house, contacted customer support and they said "it's been marked as delivered, you should've received it"

Uber Eats driver just last week decided to make a 15 min detour completely out of the way (as well as 2 programmed stops) and then blamed it on the Uber Maps. Either way food was cold.

Deliveroo and Doordash (surprisingly) are actually the most reliable near me and I use the latter for Coles/Reject Shop. If Deliveroo started delivering groceries that'd be great.

No matter which company I use almost everytime it gets delivered to a house up the street or next door and when they do get the right house, sometimes they deliver it and leave it at the side gate with the bins, as I live on a corner block where the front door is the complete other side from the bins! They must think the garage roller door is the front dooršŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Itā€™s a gamble every time I order lol.
One time I waved one down because they looked lost and they drove up the curb onto the footpath and parked to get me my stuff.

        • well, have you thought about writing clear instructions for them with your ordering app/site? most the time you can type into the comment section

I would never use Menulog again. Same thing happened twice, said delivered but clearly the driver didnā€™t even come near my suburb.

        • I would never use Menulog again

          Still better than Menulog

Do you guys honestly think there's a different set of drivers on each platform?

          • @salmon123: The difference is in the actual company.

Uber GPS (apparently) got my driver lost, and it's hard af to get onto Uber Support. Menulog's support (also not easy to get on to) sided with the driver immediately.

DoorDash has both automatic credit refunds and a live chat with <1 min wait time usually. Sure there have been issues with Doordash drivers but the customer service team is happy to help (albeit being verbose suckups lol)

It's very much YMMV - depending on what device your on. It's impossible to get through to live chat on some devices. They promise to respond with X days and never do.

Yes - some devices on Door Dash have the automatic credit/refund option, but I think that's just a flavor of the month thing. It didn't exist a few months ago and I'm not sure how long it will last.

Menulog has the same variability - one rep might side with the driver, while the next will give you an instant refund.

              • @salmon123: I've got 3 devices of varying ages (Android 9 phone, Android 12 phone and laptop) which I've had the exact same experience on but I'm guessing if you've got a $29 Kmart phone you're going to find it hard to do a lot of things.

but I think that's just a flavor of the month thing. It didn't exist a few months ago

Has existed for at least a year for me. Obviously if you abuse it then they'll take away the option for your account.

Menulog you've literally got to CALL them and wait on hold. At least that was the case last time I used it. They then "resolved" the case very quickly by determining me at fault. Not keen on waiting on hold again.

                  Congrats!

Whoa - people actually place more than 1 order with an account?

Menulog you've literally got to CALL

You don't, but if you want to keep hating on them, go right ahead.

All these food delivery platforms are as bad as each other. The only reason to use them, is when they offer a decent discount.

Funny how you are defending here

                    But not here

                    Btw

Whoa - people actually place more than 1 order with an account?

Yeah obviously, Doordash has $15 off $20 for 3 orders. Unless for some reason you only want to use one šŸ˜‚

Sorry you're just a very confused individual, I shouldn't laugh. I won't bother replying to your next comment if it's as full of hot air as your previous.

Unless for some reason you only want to use one

Erm - you have to pay delivery fees on the 2nd and 3rd order, so yeah, I only use one.

                      • @salmon123: Free Dashpass trial on each account though? Just do it via Google Pay.

Technically it's $15 off $21 as there is a reduced 5% service fee with Dashpass but still, that's worth it to me.

      • depends on how much you spend at coles, it would be much cheaper to use the coles delivery service, the prices through delivery service are massively inflated, also, amazon prime have a lot of products, yesterday i could of got a jar of kan tong stir fry sauce for $2, and that includes 1-day free shipping, that is just crazy

        • the prices through delivery service are massively inflated

They are (at 3 stores near me branded 'Coles Local' despite being normal Coles stores) literally the same as in store minus specials, sometimes cheaper as they forget to increase the prices there too. Coles you need to pay for delivery, which either costs a lot, takes a while or requires me be home all day to accept. Coles on DD is free in 30 mins. Get 13-20% off gift cards from Shopback all the time, only spend $20-$30 roughly in a shop (min for Coles Online is $50) so works much better.

Yes I am aware Amazon Prime exists but then I need to use a parcel locker or my local postie will likely deliver it to a random post office on the end of his route. Plus, 30 mins is a lot quicker than 1 day.

There's legitimately no contest (until an instant grocery service opens around here).

  • Door Dash delivered to wrong house, took photo of house up the road with my order on the wrong doorstep.

  • Good deal. Paid about $5 service charge.

Only worked on one account. It did not work on the referred (new) account and came up with the error that the code is only valid for new accounts.

    • Did you receive 3x $15 off orders for Referee? My Referral account received the $20, but the Referee never got the 3x $15 :/

  • Can these codes be use for pickup?
