Game description:

Get ready for a new train adventure as you travel across Europe with ticket to ride - Europe, the new edition of the worldwide hit from days of wonder. From Edinburgh to Constantinople and from Lisbon to Moscow, the game will take you on a ride to the great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe. More than just a new map, ticket to ride - Europe features brand new gameplay elements including tunnels, ferries and train stations.

Plus, we've upgraded you to first-class accommodations with larger cards, new train station game pieces, and a lavishly illustrated game board. Like the original, the game remains elegantly simple, can be learned in three minutes, and appeals to both families and experienced gamers.

Ticket to ride - Europe is a complete, new game and does not require the original version. It is for 2 to 5 players, and it takes 30-60 minutes to play.

My family’s intro to modern board games.
Very easy to play enjoyably, you usually can’t be sure who is the winner till the end as there are a few ways to win, so even if you are dopey you still feel in the race till the scores get tallied.
It is possible to play spoiling strategies, which I reckon detracts, but they do come at a cost for the spoiler.

Complexity is similar to monopoly, and instruction reminders appear on the cards, it is really a great game for playing with people who don’t really play board games.

Should probably add to the original deal that it might be a third party knockoff - we got our own copy at such "too good to be true" prices and it turned out to be a third party knockoff. It's perfectly playable, but the board and manual are faded (scanned) and the components are of lower quality.

    Buy at your own risk!

    • Is that a possibility when it's sold and shipped by Amazon au?

      • Highly unlikely

        • I’ve heard from America, so not sure if it also applies here, that identical listings are stocked together. So a real and fake item could be mixed together on the same shelf, if the source sellers both claimed it was genuine.

bought. been tempted by this one for a while. saw it in Kmart the other day. looks like a really good game

  • Thanks op bought one..cheers!

  • Excellent game, more balanced compared to the original, one of the few games for more than 4 persons, (albeit just 1 more)

  • Thanks, I ordered it. Seems like a good game

  • Great price, thanks OP

  • This or the original?

    • This has stations, which give you a second chance of completing your tickets.

    • A lot prefer this over the original. It's one of my favourite boards along side the Norse expansion.

  • Is this still great to play with only 2 people? And is it suitable to play with a 5 year old or a bit too complex?

    • For 5 year old its little complex. Check on youtube, there are few very good video explaining the game.

    • They'll need to be able to read the names of the cities on the board. This one might be complex for a 5 year old. There's the Ticket to ride London version of the game which is a shorter 15 minute play. Again, you need to be able to read the city/place names. My almost 6 year old needs a little guidance but enjoys playing it. You can pick it up at Kmart for $25.
Either game can be played with 2 players.

  • Good fun for the whole family and a good step up from games like Monopoly etc.

  • Ticket to Ride also on sale for $49. I think the Europe version is better for beginners?
