Best Store to Buy an Android from

Apple has good customer support if you have issues with their products, but which store (brick and mortar or online) has the best customer support for Android phones?

    Samsung?

They are pretty much the only brand that comes close to the level of support offered by Apple. I don't buy iPhones because I find Android much better value for money and can look after my own tech/product support. However, if trying to troubleshoot problems yourself and spending hours searching online for answers is going to frustrate you then Apple products might be worth the extra money. As for Samsung, their products seem to have similar specs/prices as Apple nowadays so it's really just a preference of OS/features.

Samsung support has always been terrible to me, and even at times gave conflicting information to me in regard to their warranties and repairs.
Google for me has been great. Even replaced phones no questions asked after I told them I was having battery issues.

Probably the only one with physical stores is Samsung in Australia. The rest like Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola don't have physical store presence in Australia at least. Asia yes but Oz nope.

No store in oz will give you the same support as Apple if your Apple 1, ][, GS or later still under warranty or extended coverage for phones.

"Good morning sir. Yes, let me upgrade you from your Apple 1 with both Steves' signatures to a shiny new MacBook Air. Hee hee! I'm rich!" Whoops, did I say that out loud?

Officeworks people seem to be helpful, to a point.

Yes they go out of their way to look for a reason not to price beat.

      • I've never had an issue price matching online stores at Officeworks, even when the model was different. Just need to ask nicely.

@WatchNerd You can say that again! I have given up attempting to price beat at OW. Last time they refused because the competitor charged $15 for a re-print of the receipt if it was lost and you needed another. OW manager said their store do not charge for a re-print of receipt, therefore the T&Cs were not identical so no price match (not that I have ever lost a receipt that I needed). I have also attempted to use their pb policy on gift cards and sim cards, both of which were a flat out NO!

  • idk the robot store?
