LG C1 77" OLED77C1PTB Self Lit OLED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV (2021) $5390 + Delivery @ VideoPro

200

Looking for a new TV and came across this. Not a bad price. It was cheaper on Black Friday I think for $5K but haven't seen anything close to that since. $6K in all the usual stores.
$4799 @ P & S Electronics (on backorder) if you want to risk it:

P&S Electronics has some pretty terrible reviews though and with a price that's too good to be true I'm just going to stay away.

  • Nice price. I wonder if LG or JB would price match P&S price?

    • +1

Already asked. JB wouldn't but maybe I didn't ask nicely enough :)

      • +4

        Match the f&$@ing price! Please?

      • True! I always found that if fishin best to be super kind throw in a joke and if timed right speak to them just after a mean customer and bag em out lol 🤣

      • +1

Just try another jb. Or call up and price match over the phone.

  • +8

If you click on the condition tab for P&S electronics, it says "FACTORY SECOND", which would explain the low price.

    • +1

Also, they don't tell you why the unit is a factory second. Just the box? Ruined pixels? And the unit doesn't exist yet, so there's that.

  • How do I change that deal picture? It makes it look like this is a competition post.

Been watching this since January and pretty average price with the 2022 model around the corner.

Most big stores like jbhifi expect the final batch of the 2021 in 4 weeks at which point discount bonanza is going to kick off. It's been as low as 5k on November so I say you'll save at least $500 on this so unless you're desparate to buy now this is not a deal.

    • +2

Betting on something that may or may not happen in 4 weeks is called speculation. This is the best price at the moment.

    • +2

All fair points but not neg worthy, post a better price if you have one

  • +2

Meh, was $4800 delivered at GG ebay a couple months back. Of course, videopro is way better service / more reliable

    • +2

What's wrong with GG? I thought they are not too bad? Genuine question

      • In store they are great. The ebay team is rude, when they even bother to answer. Cancelled my order because I didn't respond to them in 24hrs,after taking 3 days to answer a formal "where's my stuff" query.

  • I have this tv. It (profanity) beautiful. I love the picture on it. HOWEVER there is a common problem with it linking with Xbox series x. Sometimes the screen will go blank. There are a number of threads about it on Reddit and Microsoft. It seems that it only affects some Xboxes. Not sure why or how. The PS4 works without a problem. LG says it’s Microsoft and Microsoft says it LG. I’m leaning towards a Microsoft problem.

    Anyway beautiful tv. Love it.

  • Buy for this price or wait for (possible) deals around June? In no rush.

    • +1

Definitely wait. I'm in the same boat. jb confirmed new stock is coming in about 4 weeks. That's also when we'll see the next specials to come around. Keep in mind the 2022 model will be coming out around April so ideal time for a bargain. Expect it to be just under $5k but hopeful it'll drop further.
