  Definitely something wrong with your fit. I've been wearing high tops for years and actually think they are the most comfortable sneaker. In fact I wear them caving for the 'flexible' ankle support. I find it so much easier scrambling over rocks in chucks than every expensive pair of performance boots I've bought over the years.
  
  Low tops on the other hand always bite into my heel and the underside of my ankles. Really not a fan.
