  • At least one doesn't need to shunk an external drive with this 👍😁

Its a used drive. Never buy used hard drives. Especially not for same price as brand new…

    Oh hell no.

Shuck those expansion 4tb hdds, don't get a used hdd for this price.

You cannot "refurb" a used hdd unless you call formatting it "refurbing".

  • Seagate Expansion drives for $100. Buy em' and shuck em' for pretty much the same SKU.

Seagate Barracuda's are the lowest end drives in Seagate's product stack. Also for around $129 you can get the much better Ironwolf drive if you don't want shingled magnetic recording

Can't believe you are suggesting a used 4tb drive when brand new is $1 more.

    • +2

Yeah. Even if you don't want to shuck an external and want a normal new drive it's only $6.50 more from MSY. It'd be insane to buy this "refurb".

  • Used lol,. Shall unsubscribe, don't want to make a mistake buying it thinking it's new lolz

Would be ok for $50, but not a bargain at $100.

would grab few for 20 bucks

  • This is a terrible idea, please people, but a new drive under warranty.

And even then, BACK UP :)

  • Used drives? For the same price as brand new ones?

    Where do I sign up?

  • I don't think you can get those cheap shuckable 4tb drives for $100 any more… JB / OW etc all had them, but can't find them anywhere nowadays.
