  • does this have pps for samsung phones

    • Doesn't support PPS 45W for Samsung phones sadly. Should be no issue doing PPS 25W.

      • Does Samsung note 20 have PPS 45W or PPS 25W?

        • PPS 25W. I wouldn't be too concerned based off this comment.

      • Thanks mate

        Which one suit Samsung?

        • Also looking for a recommendation for an s21.

  • +1

How quickly can this charge s20 from zero to 100%?

    • +2

      Fast speeds

    • +3

      Yes

    • Super fast I believe

  • +1

I thought I found my dream charger but na. Looking for 45W PPS (S22 ultra) +25W or 65W fast charging for laptop.

  • I don't know much about car electrics…if I used something like this to run my laptop while parked, with engine off…say for 5 hrs. Laptop will be fully charged at start of the day…

    Q. would it draw enough power to likely to cause the car to be unable to start?

    • +3

I wouldn't do this, get a battery bank (or charge it inside?). Have you checked the auxiliary electronics remain on while the engine/ignition is off?

    • +2

I'd say in most cars the port won't be active while the engine is off. Certainly isn't in any of the cars I've had and I run dashcams off them.

    • +2

65w, for 5 hours, is 325Wh, neglecting any conversion losses. Car batteries are typically in the range of 50-100Ah, which at 12V, is 600-1200Wh. So you could potentially drain half of the battery's capacity (it's more complicated than that as starting a car needs a very high current for a short time), but yes, you could run into problems.

I've had one car where power was available through the aux port when the ignition was off, though I'd be guessing you would be in the car while using your laptop, and could have the ignition on.

      • Thank you for answering me with the calculations.

I thought most cars does Stop>Accessories>Ignition>Start>Off cycle. Cars I own does anyway. So using the cigarette port is ok with engine off.

I think it should be borderline do-able. Assuming the laptop shouldn't be drawing full 65W constantly for that 5hrs connected, as I start with laptop battery charged.

I can also reduce the hours connected…guess I should get a car battery monitor via the obd port.

Thanks again. Gonna try it and build my 'Work from Car' mods.

      • Thanks for giving the technical answer, that I wish I could’ve.
Driven many work cars, used as a mobile office. Flattened a few, and it’s always a surprise & I feel stupid every time. And that’s just running iPad & iPhone. Drive to a site, park & do my work, drive to the next & do the same. Sometimes engine running, sometimes not. If I’m not concentrating… I get the balance wrong.

  • I needed a modern car charger. AU$15.56. Thanks OP! :-)

  • Is this suitable to fast charge a huawei phone?

  • I have this exact charger and it charges my Pixel 5 super quickly. I love the voltage and current display, its pretty cool.

  • Thanks OP

    Thanks op bought 10

  • So in a car that is only 12V, can I get to 65W to charge laptop?

    • +3

Yes because your car fuse will typically be 10-15A so it'll support 120-180W.

    • -1

No, not with this DC-DC converter, it says if the input is not 24V then it cannot output 20V. The next highest power output is 15V at 3A = 45Watts.

      • Hold up… am confused now. So with my 12V car and battery, what is my laptop going to charge at?

        • It should be 45 watts.

  • Oh crap after I bought it I saw there were 100W ones……

    • +1

On this deal? I reckon the cable that is rated 100W, the charger itself is always 65W.

  • Thoughts for a Pixel6 pro?

  • Recommendations for suppliers of suitable USB cables for this?

    • Anker 643 / PowerLine III Flow Silicone cable. They're super flexible. The sheath is a bit wide for some devices though.

      • -1

The sheath is a bit wide for some devices though.

        ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Have this charger and can vouch for it. Pretty decent and have been running it without issue for like a year and a half

  • 65w for $15 delivered, that’s a very good price I reckon.

  • Thanks OP

  • -1

Considering they were selling 54W chargers for this price in 2016 reckon it's not much of a deal. BTW this model got my cigarette lighter fuse a few times in the last few years always during the road trips. I subsequently bought a 50PK 15A lighter fuse, to avoid the PITA stopping by a Jaycar/SCA during a road trip and pay $$$ for a fuse.

      QC 3.0 Output 3.6-6.5V/3A, 6.5-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A
      USB Port Output 35V/2.4A

      A terrible comparison. A 4 port car charger with a single 18W QC 3.0 port and 3 5V/2.4A ports.

Versus a charger with a 65W USB-C Port with USB Power Delivery PPS and a 30W Quick Charge 3.0 / Huawei SuperCharge port.

I'd say if that Blitzwolf was shared today you'd be getting ripped off.

  • am getting "this promo code has run out"

  • Sigh, no more 100% cash back from SocialGood!

    • After the $200 referral fraud due to no KYC, eBay doubling up transactions and withdrawals frozen until the 25th/26th I don't anticipate there to be much more use for Socialgood.

      • I agree, if they don't get their act together, that's it.

        • -1

It'll be interesting to see how the value of SG coins will go when we can finally cash out. Hopefully it doesn't drop too low. Either way it's too volatile and normal cashback will be safer.

  • I just used the coupon code and it worked. $8AUD off. Ended up getting the one with the included cable for $20.17.

    • Yes the code still works.

  • Thanks OP for awareness, I got the other Baseus 30w dual USB-A model for $12.69 shipped (it is on sale atm).
Going to replace the one that comes with my dash cam, anytime I plug in my Oppo Find X2 Pro the dashcam lost power but iPhone 7 is fine, must be the Oppo drawing too much juice.

  • Missed it. Getting this:
This promo code has run out—please message the seller to restock.

  • +1

Hmmm, I missed this promotion… but there was a big coupon I magically stumbled on. Like US$6 off an US$8 spend. Ended-up getting this for AUD$7.16 delivered. Doesn’t sound right.

    • That would be a new user coupon.

      • Mental. Just takes the old rehashed Gmail trick to get it.

  • I received this charger and gives my samsung "Super Fast Charging" and also charges my laptops whilst in use (tried with Dell + HP Spectre).
