Wow I'm going into the city for the first time in years tonight - thanks!!

  • Good on them. Hope it brings some life into the city and opens up wallets for the businesses there.

There's so much misinformation being spread that the lockdown was impacting bushes. FYI that the truth is these businesses were all doing fine due to mark McGowan.

Now we're stuffed, I get that. But Mark absolutely did the right thing and these tv adverts etc that his policy hurt businesses are all bullshit

Even with free parking, the CBD is not a very welcoming place to be after hours.

Or anytime in general. Every time (once every few months) I get into the city to do something, I always end up regretting it.

Parking fees have never been the problem in the Perth CBD.

Street parking is free after 6pm anyway.

The problem is the homeless and the anti-social groups in the city.

It makes it hard to bring kids into the City to enjoy events, even in crowded events they are there screaming and cursing.

    • Agree.

      • Yagan Square, Northbridge and the Wellington Street entrance to the train station are problem areas and not exactly family friendly.

        • yeah and Barrack St near McDonalds.

          • @batrarobin: Yes good point, that area is also rather dodgy thanks to the same sort of undesirables
