What’s hybrid about it? Part battery, part petrol engine?
Basically means it has the ability to switch to condenser or traditional mode to dry clothes more quickly than a pure heat pump drier. I haven't looked in detail at this specific model but there are a few that are condenser/heat pump that still have very high energy Star ratings.
Basically you can't dry things in 20 minutes in a heat pump drier even if it's only a couple items so it's a way to allow for those use cases.
