Looks like Amazon is price matching Gerry, pretty good price considering the upgrade is free and the PS5 version going for $98 still, Looks great on my C1

      They said they had made a mistake and they will no longer be free, but some previously announced titles would still get the upgrades

    Its free, I'm playing it right now with the upgrade although Sony is trying to hide the base version on the PlayStation store listing the PS5 version first.

    Its 100gb to download the PS5 version so If you have really bad internet or some just want the PS5 case lol

    It does require the PS4 disc to play still

    Some reasons why PS5 boxes are outselling cheaper PS4 ones:-

    Smaller download patches as PS5 upgrade already on disc.
    Some issues with PS4 versions installing continously as well as PS5 version every time loads up.
    PS5 box logo for matching shelf collections.
    Potentially higher resale value in future.
    Some PS4 discs of the same game are louder than PS5 discs for some unknown reason.
    Some people don't want to buy PS4 discs anymore as seen as outdated now.

  social gaming networks were stating for a few weeks before forbidden west officially dropped, that buying the ps4 version was cheaper with the ps5 free upgrade.
  I bought mine (ps4 version for ps5) on pre-order & worked from day one.
  I saved $20, happy with that :)

  I started playing this, having just completed the original not long ago, I couldn't help but think that the visuals haven't really progressed leaps and bounds over the original.

    Apparently they have, but just for minor details. The biggest difference is seen in the ps5 version, as not much else could be done on ps4 without affecting it's performance.

      I was actually comparing Ps5 version to original PS4 running ps5 performance mode.

        Are you playing in Resolution (30fps) mode? The Performance mode looks quite a bit worse.

        I was surprised and astonished at how good this game looks, was expecting disappointment after hearing it was a cross-gen title. Forbidden West 100% looks like a true native PS5 Sony first-party title.

    There are some visual issues, the devs have acknowledged that, hopefully they patch it soon.

      I usually go with performance mode after being spoiled by PC gaming. I still think the graphics are amazing though. I haven't noticed the difference to be honest. I had a bug yesterday where a monster got stuck in a wall, but he was a big one so I was thankful for it tbh haha

  Buying the PS4 version means you get two versions of the game! The PS5 version should include the PS4 version as well….

    and double the trophies! Seeing as you get the Ps4 and ps5 versions, which count as separate games with their own (identical) trophy list.
