EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING 12GB Video Card $2299 Delivered @ BPC Tech

300

There seem to be some differing views as to whether prices will continue to drop in March due to the decline in cryptomining demand, or potentially increase again due to current tensions and their repercussions.

Either way, this seems to be a "decent" price for this card currently.

Doesn't seem very good to me. 3080 10gb down to $1680, 3080 12gb down to $1800. Maybe $2000 would be a decent price for this, not $2300.

fair enough. though some people may consider the Ti and EVGA premium worth it.. still significantly lower than any other retailers that I could find presently for this card

why do people that complain about price always forget each card has multiple models with different price range? Sure you could get a $2000 3080ti in the near future but it's going to be an entry model. $2300 for this model is not that bad, this is EVGAs "premium" model and is reviewed pretty well.

      • ‘Not that bad’, ‘reviewed pretty well’.

Woah woah woah slow down don’t oversell it hah

Did I accidentally join OzMediocrePrice? I hate it when that happens.

It’s been a while since I looked up reviews and comparison and I don’t feel like doing it now but from memory this card was one of the best in value/performance. I would of bought this card if it wasn’t sold out all the time.

Last week a BPC Tech rep here hinted they may have a deal on 3080Ti this week, if this is it then I'm disappointed.

Thanks, bought 2 to mine shitcoins. Hopefully bull market is back and 100x gains on useless shitcoins so I can afford another investment property for free. These will be one of the best investment right now especially for the next shitcoin cycle in 3-5 years.

Pfft you should mine NFTs instead!

    • -1

why not dual mine instead? ETH and shitcoins while ETH still alive.

    • love your sarcastic tone! Yes, you hit the nail on the head.

The miners are the ones who has been purchasing all the cards, because they can make money off it. As a result, pricing out gamers and other users of video cards. $2200 suddenly don't seem so bad. I am not so optimistic that the price will come down. ETH may be gone one day, but there may be another coin that comes up to be mined profitably and GPU prices will again sky rocket.

Sadly, the ones that makes sense are only those which the miners don't want -> rtx 3050, rx 5600, etc. that are so bad in mining that they can't be bothered with it. Of course the down side is that those GPUs will be crappy. Long live 1080p gaming (sadly) ^_^

This is a great deal for a high end card if you look at what it's been selling for lately (> $2500), but if you're looking at this from a budget perspective of course you're better off getting a better value card like the 3080.

People tend to forget that even pre covid, the highest-end cards were much more expensive ( >30% more) than other cards for only very modest (< 10%) increases e.g. Titan cards. They never made sense from a value perspective.

Still crazy that this price can be considered a bargain.

  • Considering RRP is $1920 AUD for the 3080 Ti, not bad since this is EVGA's top model as well.

  • Bought one of these suckers a few months back when it was on special for this price. It sold out in hours. Good card.

Says Call for ETA… OOS now?

    • seems like it, and price has risen to $2369
