I like this hand wash but I find the refills hard to use as the liquid is so thick - does anyone else find this?

    • +3

Yep I have the same challange!

    • +3

Yes, I agree. The liquid is so thick that it is very hard to pour from one bottle to another.
So I end up just screwing the pump head on to the the giant refill bottle.

      • wouldn't the hose not be long enough?

        • +2

It reaches about 80% the length. Once the most of the liquid is used up, I dilute it a little bit with water and pour back to the original small bottle.

I would just buy the bottle with pump from now on. It doesn't worth the effort.

How do you price match in CW

    • I was wondering the same. It looks like you just ask at checkout.

      https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/aboutus/faq

How does the Lowest Price Guaranteed offer work?

At Chemist Warehouse if you find a cheaper price on the same item at another Australian Registered Pharmacy or Australian Registered Retailer we will match it and give you 10% off the difference.

The price matching policy is limited to the retail limit applicable or a maximum quantity of three of each product.

      In Store:
If you would like to price match in store, please bring a catalogue from the other retailer containing valid proof of their price. The discount will take place during the time you purchase the product in store and our staff may choose to contact the competitor to verify their price before granting the price match.

      Online:
If you would like to price match online, please send us a direct link of the product on the competitors’ website it is being advertised on and your order number. Please note we require notification of your price match request within 24 hours of placing an order with us.

You will need to pay for your order in full, however after your price match has been approved you will receive a refund for the matched price.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process a price match for purchases made through the Click and Collect service.

      Exclusions:
Our price matching policy excludes international orders and offers that are exclusively online. This policy cannot be applied to products at the other company if they are:
      - out of stock
      - short dated
      - on clearance or discontinued
      - A part of a promotional offer e.g. buy one get one free
      - Purchases made through Click and Collect
Chemist Warehouse reserves the right to deny any price matching claims if they do not meet the above criteria.

      • Everytime I try to price match at CW I have to convince the staff that they do, in fact, price match. And then I have to fight for the 10% off they apparently do too.

        • This has been my experience too. I just put it down to temporary or inexperienced staff

Just be ready to wait, arguing and a long face by the scorned assistant

      • It's good to know it is so easy to price match at CW, we should do this more often.

  • Which scent is your favourite?

    • Of these ones I like the Orange & Almond. I think the vanilla scented milk hand wash is the best one though, doesnt seem to include that unfortunately

    • I like banana

I don't want to start an online argument, or tell people what to do… But…

Wasn't the ThankYou Group affiliated with some evangelical organisation that only offered its charitable services to those that joined their church?
While the money was technically being used to provide clean water, The water was only being provided to those were willing to give up their current beliefs and join their church?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    • Would like to know if this is true :o

    • +7

      Yea they are.

Just searched now and ThankYou Group responded by saying "In order for Samaritan’s Purse to maintain tax deductibility status as a charity in Australia, its development work is clearly separated from its religious work. In the event they ever crossed this line, they would lose this status and Thankyou would no longer fund their projects."

I'm not sure about the charity pushing people to follow their beliefs in order to gain access to water. Could be true or not. There are shady Christian groups, but I think this one is okay

        Thanks for the reply MFD16.

Samaritans Purse! That's who I was thinking of. Ok, so they have done some sketchy stuff in the past, but it says that ThankYou Group no longer supports Samaritan's Purse as of 2013.

False alarm everyone! My information was out of date - Continue purchasing ThankYou products.

    • It reminds me of something happening now.
