  • what a tease, the Edifier S2000MKIII still $497 :(

  • How does this compare to Edifier R1855DB?

    • +2

I own R18555DB it is great! You wont regret the purchase. But if you are limited on budget, this is sweet also.
The power of this one is just half of 1855DB.

      • Hmmm. Interesting. I had a look and found this, wondering what you paid?

        Have a look: https://www.centrecom.com.au/edifier-r1855db-active-20-books…

Also, can't help but wonder if or that these might 'bounce' a bit if on a desk (as would be the case for me). Have you experienced this?

        TIA.

        • +1

1855DB is loud but can be bit rough on the bass (not nice) if you force it too much. But 1280dbs, i havent owned it myself - just from the specs, we cant expect it will exceed 1855db.

          • @superidiculous: Thanks for prompt response. Can't imagine I'd be blasting it, the main stereo system is more for that when desired. But again… you didn't say. Did you see my link? This seems like a pretty good price especially given your review. And also… do you find that the speakers 'bounce' when listening?

            • @[Deactivated]: Apologies. I got it $129 during blackfriday.
“Bounce” would be in mild as i mentioned the bass can be too rough and not bice. I can assure you 1855db, you wont regret. $169 is considered good deal. Well… this is oz bargain, you can wait and get it cheaper. Im waiting S3000 just sold my Bose.

              • @superidiculous: Sounds like you did well at $129.00. Thanks for your comments and added information. Greatly appreciated. :o)

Thanks OP! Finally pulled the trigger.

  • I’ve been looking at Edifier for a while for my record player, but don’t know about all the different models! Anyone got any advice or recommendations? I like the price of these.

How would these be for gaming on PC? Anyone here have experience with this?

I game on ps5 on a PC monitor with these. I have them hooked up to a subwoofer. They are fantastic for the price.
