[Backorder] 20% off all Vitra Furniture: Mariposa 3 Seater Sofa in Steel $13,096 (Was $16,370) + Postage @ Living Edge Furniture

45

I appreciate Living Edge, after-all it's where OzBargainers buy Aeron chairs from, and some furniture like the Vitra Mariposa Sofa looks and feels awesome.

A lot of people may not get it but if you are in the showroom getting an Aeron then take a look.

The entire Vitra range at Living Edge is at this link:

do people buy this for the looks or for comfort? the most i can justify on a couch would probably be around 5k..something like a king cloud v or a statement piece for the formal living with genuine italian leather. not sure where this fit into things?

I have always wanted a Vitra Polder but when I sat on it I didn't like the feel, but the Mariposa looks awesome in the lemon-colour & feels great, and although too much for me at this point in my life, there is a market.

It's not 2000 anymore boomer:. "Rembering the dot-com office chair": https://nymag.com/news/intelligencer/21364/. Spending too much on furniture was a sign of the hubris of the dot.com bubble. Let's all enjoy watching the Sydney property bubble pop in the second half of this year!

  • Can't be comfy, sofa made of steel.

  • If you can't afford it or its not to your taste then move on. Lots of people can't afford an iPhone you don't see them shitting on deals.

    • +3

Phones being over $1k is crap too. Bring back $999 flagship phones

    • Yep for sure, anyone who’s buying one also wants to save a few grand off their new Bentley.

      • +1

Who wouldn't want to save a few grand off whatever they're buying? Would you care if the dealer added a few grand on your Bentley?

        • I’d like a few grand off an iPhone please.

  • Is the frame made of gold ?

  • Looking at my bank account
If i buy one today, il be on homeless by tomorrow.

Estimated Delivery: 18 to 20 weeks.

Woah fast delivery times almost half a year 🤣

    • +5

Waiting for a sucker to buy it before making it LOL

  • Wtf these prices

  • Damn its on backorder…. May be should get it anyway now, just in case it might go up the price in 20 weeks due to inflation.

    Might be a good investment.

  • +1

That's not what I pictured a $13k couch to look like

  • The cat will absolutely LOVE IT

  • +1

"Living edge" because you never know if you have to pass the mortgage down to your grandkids when you pass away?

  • Would have ordered if it was available in white 😜

  • 13k and whomever is in the middle of the 3 seater is sitting between cushions…

  • +1

It’s like a king zaza but 4 of them and looks worse.

    https://www.kingliving.com.au/sg/zaza-3-seater-deep-2-flex-a…

    • +1

at least you 25yrs warranty on the frame with the king and more choice for the colour…

  • It looks like a big bit of turd. Who would buy any of that stuff on the link! Get a grip if your considering it. If you have that sort of money, get something decent!

  • 13k? bah… i guess it'll do for the dog….

  • Let's say even if I buy it (can't pay 13k for a couch). I would put it at the place in the house where there is less or no people movement to protect its life i.e. in the roof space.

    • everybody loves raymond and the plastic wrap couch lol

  • +1

I’d be fascinated to see the marketing meeting where they all sat down and decided that $16k rrp was a reasonable price for a sofa

  • +1

Youd buy a lot better custom made for that money…

  • +1

I actually recommend having a look through this store to have a laugh at what people are willing to burn their money on.
Can you imagine what this is like to sit on: https://livingedge.com.au/sofas/sofas/herman_miller-nelson_m…

    • i'd play it like a drum. a very expensive set

      • -1

Legit thought it was an electric drum kit at first glance

      • And a bargain $12k in red Strepsil design (if the leather is a bit much at $14k).
