Expensive yes, but the lowest price ever according to the camels. Looks to be $14 cheaper than the cheapest on staticice. This is more for people who want this particular fan setup as there are probably other fan setups that are cheaper and perform similarly.

Includes three fans and the Lightning Node Pro.

  • Magnetic Levitation Bearing: Dramatically reduces bearing friction by magnetically levitating the fan blade, producing lower noise and higher performance
  • Dynamic RGB Lighting: Four independent ultra-bright center-mounted RGB LEDs output a vivid blast of light and color
  • Control, Customize and Sync: The included CORSAIR Lighting Node PRO enables stunning dynamic lighting effects, or synchronize with other CORSAIR LINK supported devices
  • Complete PWM Control: Dynamically control fan speed from 400 RPM to 1,600 RPM to minimize noise or maximize airflow
  • Built to last: Long lifespan with a five-year warranty

  • Does this improve FPS or is it a jimmick?

      RGB make computer go nyoom

      • ‘Nyoom’ is my new favourite word. Thank you.

    • As long as they're set to red. Red ALWAYS goes faster

    • This one for $10 from Bunnings can, also lower your body and CPU temp too :) https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-40cm-white-pedestal-fan_p0…

    • If you have no fans and your components are overheating regularly, then installing these will increase your FPS. Otherwise, YMMV.

can fans like these be set to have the colour change with CPU/GPU temps? eg. CPU hits 80c = red

With iCUE it can. I'm not sure if you have to have the the corsair AIO CPU cooler though because that's where the setting is for me

      • Did you have any issues with iCue not reading your CPU temp recently? I read some horror story about someone's AIO blowing up but I can't for the life of me find the story.

        • I haven't personally, I have their Nexus screen and it reads out CPU temps constantly on a graph and I haven't seen it hiccup yet. I did have overheating but I'm pretty certain it was my gpu because gpu heavy games would cause it but I could run games that use less gpu at high fps (250+) with no problems at all

Link to the Nexus I'm talking about https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessorie…

          • @NuttyGoodness: Nice bit of kit. Pretty pricey. Not sure if I could justify that to myself though. Having said that I got Corsair's RGB headphone stand not too long ago. Doesn't work with iCue when I lock my PC. So annoying :(

            • @ozbs25: Yeah it's not bad but I'm sure there's an overlay you could get with the same info.
Mine has CPU load, CPU temp, GPU fan speed and GPU temp

I had to crop a different photo to show it

    • Yes, in iCue that is an option.
Just opened up mine to check haha
You get 3 options for temp/colour settings
Green, yellow, and red, and you get to set the temp that sets the fans to that colour.
