These were awesome in the 1990's and widely used… then we got mobile phones and these seem kinda dated now. Unless you are in the country with no mobile service?

The wiring really eats into the weight budget for all the 4wd and camping gear, which you have to leave attached at all times to look the part.

The incoming transmissions play through your stereo speakers via BT audio.
In my experience, Uniden has faster channel scanning then GME.

GME are Australian, none of the other radio makers are… and Im not certain anymore, but at least some of the GME units are Australian made
