Jerry's has a similar deal, Headset for $98 or controller for $88

Waiting for the game to be $59. Hurry up!

    • +4

Give it a few weeks haha

    • Same, I’m knee deep in elden ring and can’t get out

    • +3

im dying to play it lol. but im not paying $100 for it

    • +2

Polyphony will be patching this every month like the usual GT release anyway so you'll get a better product when you get it at $59.

    • Remember when GT Sport dropped to $29 in a few months?

      I remember.

      • +4

It was never a full price title to begin with from memory.

      • GT Sport.. is realistically GT Demo.

  • Does the ps4 version get free upgrade to ps5?

    • Unfortunately not, $15 paid upgrade

      • From what I saw last night the physical PS4 purchase with the $15 upgrades still the cheapest way to go. I believe $78 is the cheapest PS4 copy while the cheapest PS5 is $20 more at $98.

Alternatively check eBay as anyone who puchased the physical 25th anniversary edition was given a code for the PS4 copy and I bet many of those will end up on eBay. As long as they don’t require the disc, that could be a cheap way to get a PS4 code that you may be able to upgrade for another $15.

        • I could be wrong but from what I have been reading so far is that the PS4 code from the 25th anniversary edition includes the bonus items (as in the code is for the PS4 copy of the game and the bonus items, there are no separate codes). So I'm not sure if those codes will be cheap unless the seller is unaware and potentially you can also get yourself the bonus items!

          • @Siuto: I have one and can confirm. All the DLCs are in 1 code along with the PS4 version. Also I bought my copy instore and it comes with a separate docket for the controller/headset discount so you don't need to buy in 1 transaction. It's expiring 20/3/22

Really want this on ps5 but simply too expensive. 80 or lower is probably when I'll bite

    • -2

I agree. I've never paid $99 for a game and I'm not about to start now

    • Why don't you get it through other means like allkeyshop or something? Just checked and it ends up being 78AUD with the current EUR -> AUD exchange rates

  • +1

    Headsets are avg

    • Build quality yes, sound quality is actually quite good and for $99 personally I think they’re a steal for what they are at that price. I paid full price and really like mine, just the seamless nature of working with ps5 and no stuff around, all controls on left ear cup for easy access, they’re light and they’re comfortable and for $99 I say again, good value for what you’re getting out the box.

      • I just plug my $70 hyper x cloud 2's into the ps controller, or pc, or xbox or phone. Use the controls on the devices. Does have a cable I guess. Lasted 3 years now, still look and feel like new.

GT7, HFW, Elden Ring….. 3 games i want now but i only have time to play 0 games….. should i buy all 3? lol

The FOMO in me want to buy them all now but i know i can probably get all 3 for the price of 1 or 2 if i give it 6 months……. i know the smart thing to do, but unfortunately i'm not very smart……

    • +2

Finish HFW with platinum, amazing game and great story telling as well even in the side quest.

      Starting GT7 tonight :)

    • +2

If you only get one I would go Elden Ring. Sony 1st party games see discounts during sales whereas Sekiro and Souls (different publishers but still) are pretty stubborn in dropping in price. Also Elden Ring is selling like crazy.

      • +1

I got Elden Ring and started last night. Looks incredible, but it will keep me busy a while. GT7 and HFW can wait until I'm ready. I still need to finish returnal (on biome 5), guardians of the galaxy, and finish my run of pokemon crystal before then. Not to mention the backlog of AC Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Ghost of Tsushima and the million other exclusives I missed from PS3+PS4 days.

    • +1

If you can only take one for now, I find it really hard to recommend anything else other than elden ring. I can’t even begin to describe the shear breadth and size of this game, the horror, the shear sorrow and utter addictive nature of it. I won’t spoil anything for you but I’ll tell you it’s the only game I bought twice for ps5 and pc.

  • Is this worth buying if I don't have a wheel and pedals since GT has always been more a simulation than arcade in terms of controls.

I tried GT sport with dualsense and gave up

    • +1

      Totally worth it.
I enjoyed both GT5 and GT6 enough with a Dualshock 3 to earn the Platinum trophy in both. Although getting Gold in the Vettel challenges in GT5 nearly killed me.

A wheel would make it easier if you struggle though, but I'd imagine that would still have a learning curve and obviously has an extra expense in buying a wheel

  • There's been a lot of debate on the headset in previous posts, it's worth investigating.

I'm firmly in the 'for' camp, but others are not.

    • Same, for $99 they’re a steal.

    • I think for $99 it’s good. Many of the alternative recommendations people in the against camp have offered were nearing 3x the price. Just need to go in with the expectation that a $99 headset will have compromises.

    • I haven't tried them myself but if I didn't already have arctis 7 I would get these. They work well with ps5 and shows the battery level in ps5.

    • This happens often, people complain about the headset not being as good as ones costing 3-5 times as much.

  • They are also doing a controller for $75 if you prefer that

    • Just took advantage of this deal, it was $79 for any colour dual sense they had in stock when purchased with GT7 in the same transaction.

Haha, when I checked the JB Hifi website this morning, I saw this offer.
I read it a few times as GT7+Headset for $99 (Saving $159), thinking it was a steal and was going to sell the headphones and get my copy for free sort of, even went out of the way to the store and while waiting for the store to open and read it again, oh… I did not buy a copy, will wait for it to drop in price a little.

  • I see the Gran Turismo 7 25th Special Edition is no longer listed as available on Amazon and JB Hifi - looks like might have been extremely limited pressings. Glad I preordered my copy, as a die hard GT fan. eBay only shows a handful of listings but none in Australia, some going for over $300.

It came with a PS4 Game Voucher which you could have sold for $70 which would have made it a pretty good deal.

Gran Turismo 7 25th Special Edition includes:

7 full game on PlayStation 5 Disc with PlayStation 4 Game Voucher, Exclusive SteelBook case, 1,000,000 CR (in-game credit), FIA Gran Turismo Championships World Series Model - Toyota GR Yaris with country-specific livery, 30 manufacturer & partner PSN Avatars and The Music of Gran Turismo 7 Soundtrack.

    • I did contemplate on getting the 25th anniversary edition but just couldn't justify paying $55 more for the extra content (although I do like the look of the special PSN avatars). In fact because I managed to get the PS5 version for $79, I will be paying $75 more if I go down that path.

For those who missed out on the 25th anniversary edition, you can always get the digital version right? You can get all the same items minus the steelbook.

      • Yes that is right, but (and I might be wrong), you don't get the PS4 game voucher with the digital version which you can sell to someone else for ~$70 and keep the PS5 version which means you would have paid ~$84 for the 25th anniversary PS5 version. If you get the digital, you are entitled to both versions though through PS Store but I don't think you get the code separately which you can then sell? Think with the digital you get to choose which version you want to download, and they both get redeemed against your PS account.

I might be wrong though (and I am frequently to be completely honest) , in which case happy to be corrected

        • +1

I think the ps4 voucher is linked to the goodies (yaris + credits + album + avatars), so if you sell the ps4 voucher, you forgo those benefits. The pre-order bonus on the other hand would be still valid as its a separate voucher. I, like you, might be wrong on this, but i think thats what people have said online.

          • @equilibrium1597: Yes you are right

            From whirlpool

The 1 code gives you the ps4 copy, 1,000,000 credits, a yaris and the in game sound track. So yes you could sell or give it away but you’ll also be giving away those items

So better or just buying standard copy if you intended to sell the code unless you like the Steelcase.

        • Are there separate codes/vouchers for the PS4 copy and the bonus items for the anniversary addition? I've read somewhere that it's the same code. Better double check before selling the PS4 code.

    • +1

I managed to get the 25th anniversary deal off JBHifi now

      • Nice. I am patiently waiting for my Amazon delivery - "out for delivery".

Also I can now see the JB Hifi link is back up (previously was showing 404 error)

        • Bummer. Probably would have grabbed that if it was up yesterday. Decided to just get the std digital instead, even if it meant paying well over the price for a physical copy.

  • I got the 25th anniversary edition. Insane game…visuals are stunning!
