    Thanks op. Got a pair from a previous deal and they are holding up great apart from the wool wearing on the heels. (No biggie) Have just ordered another pair. Very comfy. Great price.

    Purchased a pair 16 months ago, worn daily (Tassie!) and other then wearing out the wool in a few places they've held up perfectly. I've just ordered their replacement.

  • Hi, Is it slippery to wear inside the house?

    • I have white, shiny tiles throughout my house and no. Not slippery at all.

  • I thought you weren't allowed to use the name Ugg anymore? Didn't you sell the name to the Americans?

      In Australia UGG was always a generic term, it was a style of footwear not a brand..

      A company called Deckers Corp in the USA trademarked the name UGG internationally, therefore we now have to change our name to;
      www.sheepskindownunder.com when selling overseas.

      Australia is the ONLY country with no legislation in regards to the name UGG because the courts accepted that we existed before Deckers, however now there is about 50 brands of UGG in Australia.

      • Did Deckers pay anyone for the name?

        • They had to register the name in 48 different countries, therefore yes it would of cost a lot.
          However no they did not pay any specific company for the name, because it was a generic term…

          • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: So in 1995 Decker's didn't pay Australian ex surfer Brian Smith $14.6 million USD for the acquisition of UGG Holdings?

            • @Wardaddy: He sold his company which was named UGG Imports to Deckers Corporation.
              However there were more than one company named UGG in Australia, Deckers bought this company to have their foot in the door, therefore could proceed to Trademark the name UGG worldwide.

            • @Wardaddy: Brian Smith didn't exclusively own the term "Ugg" in Australia in reference to Ugg boots. Sure that was in the name of the company but it wasn't the only one with that name. He didn't have the trademark for the generic term "Ugg" in Australia and that wasn't what he sold either. If I bought a company called "Flip Flops USA" I couldn't (well shouldn't) be able to suddenly ban the term being used in other countries.

              • @lancesta: When I say that this sounds like a load of BS, I am not referring to Brian Smith.
