    24 months. Lol

    • +1

      Yup :D

      • +1

        that's awful

        • I got happy for a sec to see the $500 GC, only to then see the 24mths next to it & going WHAT! 😵
If only they had an up/down vote button next to each deal.. To show them how many OZB ppl hate this deal.. lols

    • ROFL yeah nah!

  • +32

    +for 12 moths, - for 24 months. This is not a deal.

    • +11

Well, it’s a deal. Just not a great deal.

    • +1

Double the reward to turn it back to a plus.

  • +5

    24 month is a bummer.

  • 12 month plan with $300 is nicer if only that was $59 as well

    • +2

      $59/month with $500 GC (24 Months Plan)
      Total Min COst: $1418 - $500GC = $916/24 months = $38.16 per month

      $69/month with $300 GC (12 Months Plan)
      Total Min Cost: $828 - $300GC = $528/12 months = $44 per month

$69/month with $300 GC + $10 credit from Telstra (if you can get it) (12 Months Plan)
      Total Min Cost: $708 - $300GC = $408/12 months = $34 per month

      • +9

Having said that, nothing beats this:

        $59/month with $500GC (12 Months Plan)
        Total Min Cost: $708 - $500 GC = $208/12 months = $17.33 per month

        • +3

That's the chestnut everyone's judging this deal by. They need this one back and they'll have a 1000+ who rejoin because they had it through most of 2021

        • Nice maybe she'll come back

Edit: actually on Telstra chat and will try my luck out 👍🤣

        • You always pay $59 p/m. The $500 voucher is basically like paying off whatever JBHifi product you get by instalments. Think people like putting $17 p/m because it makes it seems like they're getting a better deal then they actually are

          • @Whisper Quiet: What one can't use the $500 gift card voucher to there Jbhifi postpaid Telstra plan?

      • I probably didn't explain it right. I would prefer a $12 month plan if it was also $59.
The 24 months doesn't appeal to me

  • The old bait and switch

  • I think I pay $8 a month with Amaysim and it does what it needs. hahaha

    • cool

      • +1

So basically $8pm for a rotary dial phone. Most people on these plans are there for the data. 🍎 🍊

        • +1

          I get 6gb a month and they give me a bonus 6.
This is a bargain site is it not….

          • @iNeed2Pee: I'm not saying this deal is a bargain but that's not what you implied with your original comment. Any who, even if your plan was $1pm, I need much more data than 12gbpm. Data user vs phone user. Apples n oranges. etc etc etc.

            • @NixMo1: Yeah fair enough. I had signed up to the $500 gc 59 a month a year or so ago, but after that, realised I did not need that much gb. The 24month seems kinda shit lol

  • "*Reverts to $69 per month after 24 months
5G access on plans $69 and above"

I wonder if that still qualifies for 5G?

    • you can call them and ask to have 5g enabled, its a flick of the switch on their end.

  • +1

Yes it does, it’s subsidised down to $59 but is originally the $69 plan that you’re signing up to.

  • +2

Not a deal. Must have been targeted at sheeps.

  • +1

    Yikes

  • +2

$300 GC for 12 months at same price. Still ain't it. Will keep waiting.

    • Absolutely. Me too.

  • +8

Anyone from ozb who signed 24 months telco contract should have their badge returned

    • we get a badge?

      • +8

        Yeah, JV gives them out.

  • Last time was 12m, for 24 m it's just 250 gift card/12m. Which is not really a bargain

  • If 100GB data is not for you, then you might want to go pre-paid and will save more than $500 in two years.

    • Prepaid 5G is $60/mo anyway.

  • +2

These deals are getting worse every year. Rang the store, they agreed it was not a great deal and that the $500/12 month will be back at some point in the next 2-3 months if you can hold out.

Apparently they just had a good deal which ended last week.

  • Yikes 24 months!! And you dont get Telstra plus points or rewards and no ability to add international packs

    • You do earn Telstra points on JB Hifi mobile bills in my experience.

      • -1

I was on it last year and there is no access to telstra plus.

        • +2

There absolutely is, previously was on the $45 JB mobile plan and currently on the $49 JB.

Both have Telstra Plus points credited each month and access to discounted tickets ect.

          • @JordanM: Interesting coz it wouldn’t even allow me to sign up for telstra plus. I have moved to telstra now.

  • +1

    Dis not it mane

  • +3

    Die 24 month plans die!!!!!!

  • bot a deal

  • Waiting for 12 months… not a deal.

  • +1

    Any JB 24 month deal isn't a deal .

  • Stop negging people. Its a deal - maybe not as good as you want it to be

  • +2

Has anyone had any luck negotiating directly in store - like asking for a $500 gift card on the $69/12 month plan.

    • I tried yesterday where this deal was still available but they said they can offer me $700 gift card for $59 plan 24months. $350 is max they can offer for 12months plan.

  • The old bait and switch

  • JB just went back to $1000 GC for $99/mth over 24 months…..still waiting for $500 over 12 for $59 to pull the trigger
