To be fair, MSRP was never a realistic price target for board partners - they would be selling cards for basically zero profit or even a loss to meet that price.
So maybe it's $200 from the lowest it could feasibly be? Just spitballing here, but it's not all gouging.

I came up with my own plot twist. A character will suffer a brain injury and start saying only one word, 'Appo'. He will say this same word over three dozen times throughout several seasons. Eventually you will learn, he was eating an apple when he suffered the injury, and he can't stop thinking about apples. When the penny finally drops, people will be blown away becuase they had no idea what was happening for three full seasons and now they finally know.
One thing non-LHR will never understand. He keeps saying buy a GPU at a higher price and mine for sometime to get the price back. What he does not understand is that, if everyone starts doing this, i.e., pay whatever the price the retailer/scalper is demanding and then start mining to get part of the cost back, then GPU prices will start raising to astranomical levels. If that happens during peak of a mining period, I wouldnt be surprised someone paying 4 to 5K for a 3080. And then with so many miners it wont be affective either and even full time miners will not benefit anything with card prices going up that high and everyone contributing to the mining.
This is the reason why you should HODL. Prices will start to come down and you dont have to mine to get part of the price back. Mining is useless way of killing the environment. It wont contribute to anything useful to mankind (And it gets worse if everyone starts mining with super high priced cards.). The only people benefitting would be retailers and scalpers.
No offense but at this point, I wouldnt be surprised if non-LHR owns a shop or is a scalper.
Absolutely spot on! Me & son are pure gamers only, don't care about mining. Just want to buy GPU or prebuilt at the correct & normal price.
Same boat my daughter and I are in. Just need a GPU to finish her build and at this rate, she can have my 1080Ti when the RTX 4000 series come out.

Mining in Australia is shite in general; you're relying on the prices of whatever sh!tcoin you're mined going up more than anything - and if you generally believe it will go up, then you might as well put that $1k straight into the coin itself for maximum time in market.
Mining and transacting proof of work tokens should have been made illegal long ago and it is a testament to how slow policymakers are everywhere.

Musk can drive the market, so he can profit. He, or entities on his behalf would have placed a massive short on crypto that day he made the tweet last year which dropped the crypto marketcap by half. The fact that it can halve in such a short time based on a tweet shows you how much of it's value is pure speculation.

It's like giving a tradesman 20% more for the same job only because YOUR house has climbed in value. Every better off party nowadays tries take a slice from the working class.
