This $89 28L Kmart Microwave or this $89 25L Kmart Microwave?

Buying a new microwave and taking advantage of the free Kmart delivery during this rainy season (I dont have a car).

https://www.kmart.com.au/product/28l-microwave/3724301

https://www.kmart.com.au/product/25l-microwave/2358803

Both are $89 but the 25L seems to have more reviews (been on the market longer perhaps?)

Or should I just bite the bullet and get the 34L one for about $30 extra? https://www.kmart.com.au/product/34l-microwave/2321301

Please any advice will be helpul.

Our work has the 34l one. It gets used a lot and works well. You will appreciate the larger size..

    • we are a sharehouse of 3 people. I think it is an overkill for the size. idk.

Microwave size is kind of irrelevant to the quantity of people using it

        • Also, the 34l will go to 1100W, has a proper handle to open and close the door.

Larger microwave oven helps if you heat two dishes together e.g. a bowl of rice and a bowl of curry.

Think about when you move out, if your new place can fit the microwave oven. Some places have a built in cavity.. so if you get something too big it won't fit.

So I would get the 28L not the 34L if you will live by yourself eventually

      • Its not, well i dont think so.. bowls, plates, cooking dishes etc will fit, sometimes the smaller ones are a bit tight. Plus also check the power levels between them, that should also be a consideration. Plus for 30 extra, its money well spent.
Edit.. with built-in cavity, some microwave ovens dont like being enclosed

I always go for the largest wattage microwave.

Many recipes call for at least 1100 watts but if you are just using it to heat up meals go for the largest sized one if you have room for it.

  • I got the 2nd one - happy with its performance. Is a little small though, maybe too used to the much larger one at my parents place.
