Noctua U12A 120mm CPU Cooler $169 + $9.90 Delivery ($0 SYD, ADL C&C) @ PCByte

90

The past Newegg deals were cheaper, but this is AU stock with $15 extra. It fits Intel 115x, 1200 and AMD AM4, you should be able to get a Intell 1700 adaptor for free (?).

For people don't know, this is a top line air cooler with 7 heat pipe and massive cold plate. Personally I dont like water near electronics, and this can match many 240mm AIO if you have enough air flow to extract the air out of the case.

hmmmm i think going from a u14s to this is a downgrade

    • I have a U12A, U12S, D15 and D15s, this is about the same as D15, 7C cooler than U12S

I think this U12A performs almost as good as the huge NH-D15, only in a more compact form. That's why it is usually more expensive than then NH-D15.

    • I have the NH-U12A, and it is not a downgrade from the NH-U14S. It's equal or better, and I'm running it with an overclocked 5900X.

  • I'm using this for my 5900x. Idle is 35c

  • Probably cheaper from noctua direct via newegg: https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/noctua-nh-u12a/p/13C-000…

After the Newegg expose, I'd be more inclined to support local.

      • The items are sent direct from Taiwan by noctua

        • Still have issues with warranty through Newegg

I find it difficult to believe this can match that many AIOs when D15 won't cool 9900K and a U14 SP3 TR4 won't cool 1950x.

    Good for gaming though.
