My Domino's Pizza Prawns Were off and Pizza Was Inedible

I bought 3 Pizzas from Manly vale today
There was a message on Dominoes website they are experiencing supply chain delays for Spring Onion
But my Garlic Prawn Pizza Prawns were off and the other Pizza's were basically inedible and bland
I don't expect much from Dominos but at least I expect edible not rotten/off food
Calling them to get a refund. Will let you know how it goes

I called them, the customer service line promised a remake or refund for any pizza you aren't happy with but they just said no.
They are probably a franchise store so it would come out of their bottom line.
Ordering from Balgowlah Pizza Shop next time

Thanks for your feedback.
We apologize for the bad experience.
Will make sure this never happens again.

Thanks
Team Manly Vale

        Good to know

We all needed to know that, well done. Just what the internet was designed for

if it was inedible and they said that to me id drive back there and throw the whole pizza at them. thats BS.

id been at a store in sandgate and someone just got a pizza and looked real busy and stressed handling the kids. she dropped it all over the floor as soon as she turned around to leave. the guy at the counter said he would remake the whole pizza for free. i was so impress of the customer service id expect the same at all stores or very close.

ive been offered pizza to be remade if i came back to the store but it wasnt that bad or i just ate it and didnt think twice. next time ill be extra fussy and come back to the store. ive also had pretty much burnt pizza. the whole base of the pizza was like 70% black. i was like wtf but i was hungry and i burn my own pizza all the time so i just ate it. they used to also give me burnt garlic bread like months on end like my store forgot how to cook garlic bread! i shouldve come back into that store frown the dam thing like an adult toy hitting someone in the face. i shouldve.

thank god i can get perfectly cooked garlic butter bread almost wet dripping with steam and butter now. so good

          next time.

            Ah huh…

and it takes 1.5 hours return in floodwater to get there

Besides the point that no pizza is worth a 1.5hr return trip in floodwater, returning it isn't worth that time/effort/risk either.

id been at a store in sandgate

And before today, you'd felt it didn't need a forum post on a bargain forum? Congrats, you'd be with the majority

I see you're up on your defamation law.

      • O.P.'s use name definitely does not check out.

    • A business can't sue for defamation, only individuals can.

    • Defamation for possibly receiving bad food, in Australia?? Bahahahaha!

You'll be missing out on my quality deals then @tallkid123

      • If they’re so ‘quality’, why were a number of them unpublished?

        • -3

I incorrectly put the discord link at the top not the bottom
Some of them I realised they wouldn't get more than my average 65 upvotes so unpublished them

Well that explains the average of 65 - can't lower your average if you just delete everything that could bring it down!

maybe the flood affected their power? Or while they were trying to handle the flood someone left the prawns out etc. Find it hard to believe they wouldn't refund for expired food though, just ring again (escalate the call, eg. Can I speak to your manager?) or go into the store. Store probably needs to know as they might have a fridge/training issue etc.

    • This makes sense, but it's not worth it for me as this is less than an hours pay for me and it takes 1.5 hours return in floodwater to get there

      • yeah I meant when it's normal or ring again. Thinking about it, the store is probably already notified. Even if it's a week later, they will probably refund.

        • I sent a customer feedback complaint

          Thanks for your feedback.

          • @[Deactivated]: guessing that you were after refund for all three? And did you call, write or both? Can escalate on the phone and yeah, have to think about if it's worth it, especially considering the flooding. If the below post re: prawns kept in water is right, then it may be a bigger problem.

            • @Cave Fire: No I would have been fine with just the refund for the Prawn one but none was offered

My mate worked at dominos for years he climbed the ladder of the store a bit, we used to go in at late hours and make ourselves Pizzas, those prawns stay in grubby water at room temp all day, I don't know any dominos worker that has prawn pizzas from any dominos store.

    • Yeah the worker kept telling me it was frozen fresh could not possibly be off

      • fresh? yeah, and Putin is a good bloke….

  • There are good Domino's stores and not good, like most franchised businesses.

Don't bother raising it with corporate, then just send it back down the line to the store manager. I realised this more than a decade ago when I got a return call from Domino's about prawns and the guy started abusing me like he was late for his next dose of meth.

There are two close by stores that got my business from then on, but no more free meth.

    Dominos bargain post incoming…

Two asinine posts about one mundane activity, with the potential to extend to three or more should food poisoning occur. Bargain

Wonder if they use spam on their pizzas too..

  • Honestly, speaking mate, Leave some (if not all) of your pizza in the box (aka dont throw it)
Take it to the dominos tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, show them the pizza and explain your problem IN PERSON, Speak nicely to them, they should give you refund (if not at very least offer you a remake at very least).

Generally speaking when i used to work at a fast food, I would never really take phone calls that much seriously.

There is a slight possibility that the store is thinking you are a scammer, (like one of those people who claim to make false claims, without proof of purchase just to get free food).

Or you just got one of unfortunate employee you spoke to, (not everyone is same, not everyone will give you a good outcome)

Lol one time I ordered a chicken and avo pizza, husband came back and said they ran out of avo, they didn't even replace it with anything. Another time I paid extra for cherry tomatoes, there wasn't any. Sent off an email to domino's and they gave me a voucher code for a free large pizza. At first they said call the store and let them know, but I'm like… I dont want a compromised pizza..

  • +1

I agree, some dominos / pizza hut stores suck, while few are good. It also depends on what time of the day you order. If they are too busy the quality is usually bad.

2 anti dominoes posts…….. do you work for Pizza Hut
