    Couldn't say it better myself

Great game, one of the best on the platform. Worth full price imo.

  • I haven't tried the VPN, but when I look at this game for the Oculus Rift, it is not on special.. :-( only quest…

  • +3

I don't even own a Quest but I am buying this game anyway for when I do (later this year I expect when the lad gets one for birthday or Xmas).

    Got it - thanks op

  • This is a really great game - super fun multiplayer too if you have friends with a headset.

  • Great game

i dont like playing or even watching golf on tv but still buying this (thanks to the referral system i got $150 credit)

  • Great game. I've had my Quest since late late last year and only just realised that other games are being discounted without actually being part of any of the Oculus daily or package sales.https://odeals.net/ is probably a good place to keep track.

I also just noticed that Omega Blade has gone free. Havent tried it yet but it looks a little like Space Pirate Trainer style gameplay, guessing not quite as good though. https://odeals.net/game/4096/omega-blade

    • im waiting for virtual desktop to get discounted

It does every so often, I think was also discounted as part of a pack recently? Here's the history, doesn't show packs though.

      • VD isn't really a "must have" anymore. As long as you set it up properly AirLink works perfect. In my testing, AirLink actually performed 1.5% better than VD and looks better too without all the texture warping tricks that VD uses to increase framerate.

        • Does virtual desktop offer much else that airlink doesnt?

          • +2

@Gravy: I bought VD (with referral credit) for the sole purpose of benchmarking it against link and AirLink to put to rest all the arguments about how it's "better". I found that VD was the worst performing (only very slightly), with a USB3 cable the best, but again, not by much.

Beyond that, I haven't used VD since. AirLink lets me play PCVR games and that's all I use it for. I believe VD has other "features" but they're not anything that I care about or use.

  • One of my favorite Quest games!

  • How do you do the VPN thing? I connected to Canada but still see prices in AUD in the store.

    • If you have credit it forces you to buy in the currency of your credit.
Otherwise it has always worked for me to force quit the Oculus app, then connect to VPN then open the Oculus app again.
Probably worth advising which VPN in case they've blocked a specific one … I use Nord and no issues.

I'm doing this on my Mac browser rather than an app. No worries, got it to work by using a different browser.

Bought a couple of things in CAD. Beat Saber is $34.99 CAD = $37 AUD vs $47 locally.
