Shark Lift Away XL Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner PZ1000 $447.36 Delivered @ Myer eBay

Original Coupon Deal

Have been looking for a good corded vac for a while. Settled for the PZ1000 for the duo floor head with anti hair tangle and the lift away feature. Looks to be the top model corded Shark vac in Australia (USA has much better models).

Harris scarfe has it for $524.99 (minus 8% cashback from shopback at the moment) but noticed this on the Myer eBay store for less and delivered.

  • Good find cucumber

  • Any reviews of this one? Vacuum wars on YouTube raves for the Shark brand, but none seem available here.

I love Vacuum wars, but it's so hard to compare the US models to the ones here as they all have such different names. I couldn't really find any good reviews on this one. To me it looks very close to the AZ2002 in the US which is called "Vertex" which Vacuum Wars looked at here: https://youtu.be/0YyG7ojZG_s.
There's a story on the UK version of the PZ1000 here: https://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/shark-anti-hair-wrap-…

It would make sense if it is a rebadged one of the vertex as it came out in the USA about a year ago and recently released here which makes sense as we always lag behind in the Shark Vacuums.

      • Thanks! Ordered - replacing a Dyson V6 on it's third aftermarket battery.. I think the Shark will clean a bit better!

        • Yours even shipped yet ?

          • @Wayne7497: Just got a “order delayed” email from Myer followed by a shipment notification from Auspost.

  • I have one and it's a monster compared to Dyson v7 and v11.

Hands down best vaccuum cleaner I've had despite being corded.

    • I have this too (not XL) which was given to me free by Shark after 5 years of use of the old, white one (don't remember its name) as a warranty replacement. The old one was working fine, only had a small scratch on its electric wire which they said might lead to a hazard. Excellent products and excellent service.

  • I find sharks models confusing, its hard to tell what the difference is between them. E. G https://sharkclean.com.au/collections/catalog/products/shark… is $150 less has higher wattage and bigger dust bin so what the benefits of the pZ1000?

I have the old purple shark and need a new o e but can't see the benefits of the more expensive ones.

That Navigator has a couple key differences:

    • No Duo floor head. Just has the single brush with anti hair tangle. The felt roller on the duo is best for hard floors with fine debris.

    • No lift away feature. Can't remove the whole vacuum off the floor head and carry around. The lift away models also let you use the powered floor head directly onto the wand

    • no headlights. I love this feature as you can see fine debris on the ground easier

The navigator would still be fantastic value though. Lots of stores have it on sale for the $299 mark at the moment. Can get 10% from shark with the code LOVESHARK too.

  • Is the code not working for anyone else?

    • Worked for me, just ordered.

      • Shipped yet ?

        • Nope. Assuming Myer taking their time..

  • Hows this for hard wood floors vs dyson v11/15?

    • In my opinion, they'd be really similar. They both have felt roller heads with a large opening which is great for all hard floors. Although I do think the shark can get into grooves between boards and tiles better as it has the brush head behind the front roller that will get into the gaps. Plus the anti hair tangle feature is fantastic.

The Dyson V11/V15 is double the price of this Shark and is cordless.
The comparible cordless Shark IZ202 is very similarly priced to the PZ1000 and has similar features. I believe it's called the Shark Vertex cordless in the USA which was Ranked #3 as the best cordless Vacuums in 2021 by Vacuum Wars.

I personally went back to a corded Vac as I wanted that continuous power for long cleaning sessions. I will still keep my old Shark IF200 cordless for spot cleaning.

  • Anyone actually receive theirs yet still waiting on mine to be shipped?

    • Same here. Hasn't been marked as shipped yet

    • Received an email from Myer saying there is a delay. Bit disappointed, for the extra $36 probably should have just C&C at my local Harris Scarfe.

      • Finally received my vacuum yesterday. After I assembled, I immediately noticed this clicking sound when pushing the vacuum coming from where the handle joins into the wand. It doesn't appear to make a tight enough connection.

I took photos and videos and sent them to Shark via live chat. They agreed that something wasn't right and are now sending me a replacement handle+hose and wand parts free of charge. Pretty good customer service! Hopefully it fixes the issue.
