    Grabbed Dread and Skyward Sword.

I feel like Mario Golf can drop more in the future.. We shall see.

  • Hope they match Paper Mario

Great price on Dread. Amazing game.

  • Shame there isn't a BotW Gold ed that includes the season pass. I'd probably grab that

    • As much as I also want that to happen, I don't think it will until the games gets a "HD re-release" on the next version of the console.

  • +3

Skyward sword was such a good game.
Altho its long, couldnt do it again.
However if a first timer was playing it on HD, im sure would be a great experience

  • +2

Splatoon 2 for $49 as well.

    • Thanks, added to deal post.

    • Wish there was 2 player local

      • we all do ;(

      • Maybe Splatoon 3 will do this??

  • Skyward Sword or Pokemon Arceus for my next game?

    • Yes

    • +2

      Both

    • +1

Skyward Sword since it’s been discounted

  • +2

Price-matched at JB - cheers OP! Been waiting to give Dread and Skyward Sword a crack :)

    • Is the gold plate scratched like comments below?

      • Not quite sure what the "scratches" are meant to look like - but there are thin lines that run down each of the gold plates. It's hard to tell if it came like that, because I never paid attention and have already inserted them a couple of times into the Switch since purchasing.

If it helps at all, neither of them came sealed on purchase.

  • Will Twilight Princess come to switch?

    • -2

Let me get my crystal ball

    • Very likely, but as for when, who knows

  • Paper Mario also price matched now

  • Awesome! Bought Dread, consolation for missing out on the Lego Home Alone house twice

  • Loved Metroid even though the EMMI chases are stress inducing haha

  • Cooking Mama is $39? I remember when people were paying $150 on eBay for it because it had supposedly been released illegally and pulled from store shelves when they realised what was going on. What happened with all that in the end?

    • +1

Nobody seems to know, but it has never gone out of stock anywhere. Still not on the eshop though

Bought in the hype phase and it sucked so I traded it in as the prices had already normalised after those first few weeks

  • I am shocked that metrod is almost half off now

    • Because that is a knock off Metroid?

      • +1

        Knock off Metroid? What?

      • OCD I see you have.

  • +1

paper marios been $35 before, solid price & solid game.

splatoon2 is great but dated now, but glad i got it in 2017 for $43. splatoon 3 only a few months away.

  • Only time to play one game! Metroid or Zelda ?!

    • +1

I'd say BOTW, then Metroid, then Skyward Sword, but it's really personal preference.

  • Is monster hunter stories 2 worth $49?

  • Metroid Dread not sealed and the gold pads have scratches.

Fulfilled and sold by Amazon isn't new? 🤔

    • +2

      Metroid Dread not sealed

same as my day 1 purchase, there's no sealed copies.

      • +1

Would you expect the pads to be scratched up when sold new?

I've taken BOTW out half a dozen times and Dread is more scuffed compared BOTW.

    • +3

Both Skyward Sword and Metroid Dread were not sealed for me.

    • all my game from Amazon are not sealed. And also from Gamesmen

  • Returned Metroid Dread due to scratches on the pads of the cartridge and fingerprints in the case.

Refund was the only option available. Unable to re-order due to a quantity limit:
"We're sorry. This item has a limited purchase quantity. We have changed your purchase quantity to the maximum allowable."

Amazon said to wait a week.

I assumed that the game sold and fulfilled my Amazon AU would be New because it says "New".

It looks like Amazon AU is shipping opened / pre-owned / used games while labeling them as "New".

    • The Metroid Dread I got from JB HI FI also has line scratch on the gold metal..
is Australia getting the dirty end of the stick with these switch games compared to Americans get their games sealed!?

    • -1

thats really odd because they usually ship it sealed. I have heards in some states amazon is dodgy and other states it perfectly fine. you might be based in NSW or VIC that may be why heard some really bad things with amazon down there.

    • Received metroid dread and paper mario from amazon today, both were not sealed and I can see scratch marks on the gold fingers on the cartridges.

I also expected them to be brand new, there is no mention on the listing that they are second hand, in two minds whether to send them back or not, yes because of principle or no because they were a good price.

  • is there a reason why people aren't ordering from amazon, they are offering free one day delivery which means you will get it tomorrow morning I know used this many times.

    • Some users are reporting Switch games to be scratched and claiming they are second hand. See the comment from “mrLaw” above. Also check Amazon reviews too as sometimes they mention this too.

      Hope this helps.

      • I doubt they are second hand. Prob scratched up during boxing / manufacturing.

        • No idea. Just relaying information I heard.

  • I ordered Metroid Dread again after returning the first one due to scratches on the cartridge pads.

Amazon support said they'd refund the difference between AU$68 and AU$49 so that I could get it at the original discounted price. They honoured this and provided credit.

The second Metroid Dread was also not sealed and the cartridge had scratches on the pads. I guess that's just how it is from the manufacturer. No fingerprints on the case or inside the case. I'll keep it.
