    inb4- movie bad

  • +2

Not hating on Keanu Reeves or the Matrix but I didnt even know this movie existed.

    • +25

Best left that way - the need for the other sequels is debateable, but based on the final result, this one deserved to never be made.

  • +15

Was warned not to watch it. Still did
Could have done something else than wasting 2 hours on that movie.
Just rewatch the orignals instead if you want nostalgia

  • +7

I will not take it even if they pay me money for it.

  • +5

Enjoyed it overall; was a bit confusing through the first hour imo.

Ending was kinda meh, wasn't the most satisfying. Definitely a forgettable movie/plot

  • +27

Wow, the RRP is more then the movie made at the box office.

  • +2

Thought the first hour was good, they just went in the wrong direction and the movie is certainly forgettable now

    • totally agree…
Matrix style first hour, full sense8 after the first hour

  • +7

Not even worth it for free. Just awful.

    • +2

I would pay this amount of money to forget I had watched it.

      • +4

That can be arranged. We offer this to all within the matrix.

      • you need to find an Agent and ask them to wipe it for you

  • +3

The first matrix movie was good. All the rest were terrible.

I will die on this hill. Come and get me!

    • -4

2 and 3 were good, you just didn't understand them

      • +4

Nah they were shit just not as shit as this stinker

        • -4

Another one who doesn't understand movies and watches them for the biffs and titties

      • +2

To quote Homer Simpson, "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand."

    • +2

      When you’re right, you’re right.

  • +3

Is $55 really the RRP? Seems like they've inflated that just to make it look like a bargain. $36.98 is the normal price at JB etc.

    • New releases for 4k blu-rays rarely go above $39.95 here in Australia so $55 seems inaccurate.

      • +1

Lana/Larry needs to recoup his/her losses.

  • Same price at JB if you want to pick up on the day instead of waiting to be delivered - $36.98

  • +3

This is not the worst movie ever made, but as a fan of The Matrix (1999) it certainly is the most disappointing movie I have ever watched.
Many scenes and characters, like the memorable Morpheus are cringeworthy. I want to forget this movie exists.

  • +4

They produce crap to exploit the old fans same as Feminator Terminator, Star Wars etc you name it. Instead of creating good quality new movies, it is just a better margin and less effort like that. Just the terrible state culture is at at the moment. It probably reflects the economical and cultural crisis modern capitalism is at at the moment.

    • +1

      You can’t blame capitalism.

The type of people who would intentionally make less popular movies pushing a message rather than profits, like the Hollywood of old, don’t believe in capitalism anymore. They hate billionaires, they want to give socialism a go.

The Terminator and Star Wars have gone intentionally misandrist and woke, while the last Matrix had some of that with the Trinity is also “the One” crap, it was just a bad movie.

The Wachowskis‘ are just terrible movie makers, they had ONE good movie, that’s it.

      • I don't blame capitalism in general. Modern capitalism and it's crisis, which causes it's impotence on the cultural field.

It is true that Hollywood starts to flirt with socialism a little bit, Joker movie comes to mind amongst others. But they are yet to create a truly socialistic masterpiece like the old Soviet movies.

  • +4

Keanu Reeves should leave the John Wick look for the other franchise, Carrie-Anne Moss still looks gorgeous but the movie was absolutely horse shit.

    • Keanu only has one face and character he can do. Why he isn't ragged on more i dont know. It was fine in 1999 for the matrix, which i enjoyed. But now i realise he's lacking.

      • Keanu is the Blue Pill

  • -4

My god so much internet hyperbole. The movie was fine. Not great, but fine.

    • +4

I disagree, as a long time fan of the franchise who even still enjoys not only the first but also the second and third outings I believe this movie should have been called The Matrix: Necrophiliacs because they dug up the dead and phucked em all.

    • +3

It’s the internet there is no fine or acceptable. It’s either amazing and you should join the bandwagon or it should never have existed and all involved should be ostracised.

  • Movie= i have no ideas but let's make some fantasy up from my imagination….

  • +3

this movie should be $1 and even for that I wouldn't buy it, worst Matrix movie ever.

  • How do I remove my mistaken deal upvote….? This movie is garbage

  • +1

    Fell asleep halfway through….

  • +3

Movie was not worth torrenting, who ever signed off on this mess shouldn't be working anymore

    • They kind of mentioned it in the movie. WB wanted another sequel with or without wachowskis, I'm sure one of the wachowskis wanted to bomb this movie.

I'm sure the suits at WB were going to sign this off regardless of how shit it was, the franchise is too big to not make money.

  • +2

The best part of this movie was when they had clips from the first movie in it.

  • +1

Wait a few months and it will be on clearance and you still won’t buy it.

  • +3

The scene with neo sitting on the toilet is a metaphor for this movie.

  • +3

watched it for free, but want my money back.

  • +3

Wouldn't even sail the high seas for this travesty. Suckered 3x gold class tickets out of me as a matrix fan family. They will never see another cent from me, I should have known better.

    • +2

Just remember those words, just incase when The Matrix: Resurrections Resurrected comes out.

      • +2

The Matrix: Remastered Re-release Resurrections Resurrected Resuscitated

  • This whole movie went nowhere. It's not worth this money. It's not even a good demo movie for your fancy new setup like matrix used to be.

There's one meh fighting scene that has more in common with borne than matrix, and two special effects scenes that drag on too long.

    Bug bag of meh.

  • +1

Loved this movie, hammered home the point that nostalgia is not a good thing, being a tourist of your youth.

  • I still remember watching the third movie in the cinema, that was the end of the Matrix movies for me. That was like 95% action and no story it was horrible, the "real" world (not being in the Matrix) was horrible to watch I guess too.

  • +1

    RRP $54.95………….lol.

  • Is it me or did it sound like Keanu was on his last breath for every line he said in the movie? Like he was forcing his words out?

    • +1

He knew the end result as he was making it

  • 👍😁

  • I know so many have already said as much, but this movie was a complete waste of our time.

Glad I started getting drunk half way through it, probably made me suffer less.

  • After the credits started with that song, my entire perspective on the film shifted. Now I believe everything bad in the film was done on purpose. Now I really enjoy the film and will pick it up on 4K Blu Ray after it drops in price.
