Huawei 15W Wireless Charger Black with 40W AC Adapter $29.95 + $7.80 Delivery ($0 SYD C&C/ $100 Order) @ Mobileciti

200

I tested the Samsung S22 Ultra on this Huawei wireless charger and it showed fast charge. The Samsung single wireless charger is more expensive, is only 9W, and doesn't come with a cable or AC adapter. The Huawei has a non slip silicone surface, feels high quality, and comes with a 40W AC adapter. I tried plugging the phone directly into the adapter but it didn't fast charge so it's not compatible. $149.00 down to $29.95, about thirty something elsewhere. However, $29.95 for a high quality 15W wireless charger is great. Mobileciti also has free shipping for orders over $100.

  • Seems like a decent product

  • 40W input and 15W output, rest is wasted during conversion?

    • for data communication??

    • That's the adapter with 40W output if you charge your phone directly. It requires the 40w adapter as the previous version has much lower output, such as 10 or 15 which I cannot remember clearly.

If 25W is lost in conversion then the thing will get very hot. It's very cool to touch and doesn't get hot. I think the 40W adapter comes with it to do wired charging on Huawei phones which support Huawei Quick Charge. The S22 Ultra didn't support the Huawei Quick Charge when plugged in. However, I wanted a cheap and high quality 15W charger. I bought 2 Samsung single 9W wireless chargers for about $50 each and they're very plastic. I like the Huawei for the non slip silicone surface. It's cheap because it's from prior generations but for me it was great bang for buck.

      • Samsung uses pps, Huawei uses some other pd protocol.

    How bright is the light

    • The light is small and white at the base and not bright. Enough to see in daylight and not bright at night which is a good thing.

Thanks OP, order one from their ebay store and it's a little bit cheaper at $34.91 with code PLSMAR5
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143477654417

    • I bought 3 so it was cheaper for me to order on their website as they only charge $7.80 delivery and added a small power bank to bring it over $100 and got free delivery.

    • Does that charge iPhone 12 as well as the Airpods??

      • It's uses the Qi standard so it probably does but I don't have an iPhone or Airpods to test. If it does I don't know if it'll do fast charge on Apple products.

      • Can confirm, it works with the iPhone 12 as well as Airpods Pro.

Thanks, was hesitating buying from the store due to the delivery fee (or free collection at Lidcombe). Got 2 pcs for $30.8 each at their eBay store with delivery.

    • Hmm, the code isn't working for me on eBay. Any other discount codes available?

    • in their ebay store, ti does not say what are in the box.
but their website does mention it, I wonder if the ebay ones come with charger

Genuine question: is it safe to have a wireless charger on your bedside table less than 50cm away from your head?

    • +1

This is akin to asking whether its safe to leave your phone less than 5cm away from head when sleeping.
      Genuine answer: yes its safe.
You are safe as long as you don't sleep next to a constantly operating (turning) microwave. Anything weaker and shorter duration you should be fine.
I heard this from a podcast somewhere.

  • When I am using it to charge s21, it does show fast charing, but it shows it need 1h27mins until full charge. However, when I plugging the phone directly into the adapter, it does not show fast charging, but it only needs 1h6mins for full charge. I guess it does do fast charging with the adapter itself.
