Discount Movie Tickets (HOYTS) - Who Offers It?

I've decided to move my motor vehicle insurance from RAC to AAMI after more than 7 years because it's $30 less per month!
In that time I've never even had to make any claims as the at fault party, so I do feel like I paid premium dollar for a premium service I never really used.

One thing I've used over the years however is the RAC shop where you can purchase discounted movie tickets ($11.50 for adults offpeak IIRC) from neat idea.
But this is not an uncommon thing, as I hear other institutions also provide a similar benefit - I'm just not aware which do it.

Can someone provide a definitive list of which do as I've got a few credit cards, banks and other insurance companies I already pay for and I'm not sure if it's an added benefit I may have missed.

Thanks!

Westpac have a neat ideas portal.

Optus probably still have discounted prices.

  • so I do feel like I paid premium dollar for a premium service I never really used.

Yet….. I think you mean I've never had to use YET.

Optus no longer offers discounted vouchers, anywhere else further to the above suggestions? =)

I was looking at Shopback, which in addition to discounted gift cards already on OzB wiki it also has movie ticket vouchers - currently $14.95 for adult

Another option is Swap Entertainment Gift Card that sometimes goes on sale/promo. Last promo ended Tuesday: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/695152

Also interested if there are other options :)

I will probably go for Telstra Village tickets instead if that's still a thing.

  • Disappointed at the removal of Optus discounts, but if you're an RACV member in Victoria, you can buy discounted vouchers here (it takes you to the Neat Ideas portal): https://www.racv.com.au/membership/member-benefits/member-di…

    $12 Mon-Thus
$15 all times except Sat/Sun after 2PM and public holidays

MyToyota also appears to offer discount tickets. I tried a few different Hoyts and it looks like it even includes Sat/Sun after 2pm but not certain.

  • Shopback voucher discounts are only on mobile app just for reference

  • Those with RAC/RACV membership, the shop has now increased their prices for HOYTS offpeak vouchers to $14…inflation is slowly taking over every damn thing.
