Pick only one from Swap, Ultimate, TCN for promotion so that people are more likely to buy the wrong one. Good try!

    • "people" excluding ozbargainers.

    Wookie MVP as always

  • Does EB games sell itunes giftcards?

    • I had a look in an EB Games store on Thursday, and that store only sold EB Games gift cards and Nintendo eShop gift cards.

I’m not sure what your local EB Games stores would have in stock though.

      • Should equivalent to what website is selling… if website has it then they are selling it

        • True, I was a little surprised I didn’t see any Xbox or PlayStation gift cards on any of the shelves. I’m sure if I asked the staff if they had any in stock, they probably would pull it out of storage.

so the Ultimate Style Visa gift card is the one to go for? to be able to use online and instore? and available to be used at more retailers?

    • +2

      Yes, yes, yes.

If you're wondering how to tell the difference between the Visa and EFTPOS versions, in this picture of Ultimate Active gift cards, the gift card on the left is the EFTPOS version and gift card on the right is the Visa version.

good question, bought some last year can only be used in store, found very inconvenient especially with covid lockdown etc.

  • +1

is it 2k points regardless of denomination?
or does it give you 1k for $50 and so on?

    • +1

      2k regardless of denomination.

      • sweet! cheers!

    • +2

2k for both $50 and $100, so better value to get $50 ones

  • Anyone know if the NRL giftcard will work at merchandise stores at the game?

  • +1

    Eb games for me. $50*5

    • Shhhhhhhh .

      • +1

I work at your local coles so I am going to put them all out the back before the promo is on and get them for myself.

        • +1

I know other plays too where the retail staff do inside jobs of getting the goodies for themselves .

        • Yeah like other co workers of yours wont be looking at you like a weirdo suspicion ?

          • @USER DC: I know someone in a major publicly listed company who clears the whole state behind the scenes of goodies not gift cards that retails for a about 10 X the normal merchandise price .

Not touching these deals anymore. Bought 5x $100 Amazon GCs at Coles and one wouldn't activate, and it took months to get a refund.

Coles facebook messenger chat were useless, that wasted a week, then phone support were useless, didn't action ticket, that took a month.

Then finally they figured it all out, and then the chick at the store took down my details and didn't action it, until I went back and literally called the call centre and got a number from them, which she could have done anytime in the past 2 weeks.

  • Found 3 of the swap ones on a random shelf at my local. Perfect for PS5 preorder thanks

  • Bought 2 of the swap ones and neither would swap. Got to the swap screen and it's just header on the web page. Tried it on multiple browsers on different device.

Will steer clear of this mob going further forward. Had problems last time i used them a couple of years ago but thought they might have got themselves together by now. Obvioulsy not.

    • I just tested going to www.swapyourgiftcard.com.au and typed in the two Swap Entertainment gift cards I purchased from Coles back in Jan 2022. Both showed up fine on the webpage. Could it be a firewall issue? Try accessing the website on a device that's on different network e.g. mobile 4G?

      • +1

Yeah mine swapped just fine an hour ago.
I wish I realised that I could combine them into one rather than getting 3x EB Games cards but oh well!

  • +2

While testing Swap Entertainment gift cards, I just learnt today that it is possible to redeem multiple gift cards in one go using the "+ View/Card Number" button!

Then can use the total balance of all the gift cards to swap to one eGift Card up to the biggest amount available for that vendor.

Great for big purchases like swapping 10x$50 gift cards for one $500 EB Games e-Gift Card.

  • I bought it two days ago but have nothing so I'm about to call them but has anyone received their flybuy points yet?

    • Nothing from yesterdays purchase.

      • +1

I actually got mine yesterday arvo so it took 2 whole days.

        • +1

Awesome, I'll check back on monday, thanks!

  • Silly question. I recently bought 2*50 Active gift cards from Coles. Can I use these gift cards in any of the participating stores in-store and online?. Or do I have to swap to one of the stores before any purchase

    • +1

      You gotta swap first.

    • +1

I’m assuming you have TCN Active gift cards, not Ultimate Active gift cards…

Where a participating retailer accepts a TCN gift card in-store, you can use it like any other EFTPOS card. (Ask to pay by card, swipe the card on the EFTPOS terminal, press Savings and enter the PIN.)

Where a participating retailer accepts a TCN gift card “online”, they actually cannot directly accept the card on their online store, as EFTPOS cards cannot be used for online transactions. Instead, “online” actually refers to an exchange portal hosted on the TCN website, where you can exchange your TCN gift card’s balance with a digital gift card from that participating retailer.

Not all participating retailers accept TCN gift cards in-store nor are on the TCN exchange portal, so you’ll need to check the How to Use section on the TCN Active gift card webpage to see how you can redeem your TCN Active gift card.

  • All points have appeared!

  • +1

Might be a stupid question, but if I buy 2x $50 cards in 2 separate transactions, then I'll get 4000 (2x 2000) Flybuy points right?

    • +2

      Yes

      • +2

Thanks @WookieMonster. I grabbed 3x $50 Active cards, so hopefully I'll score the 6000 points within the next few days.
