Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P TG Mini-ITX Case (Black) $79 + Delivery (or Pickup in NSW, QLD) @ Umart

320

A popular case for mini-ITX builds. Usually around $139, this is even cheaper than the NR200 at $99.

Mine just arrived, and it comes with all mesh sides, plus an extra $50 tempered glass side panel in the box, so you can choose to use it or not (e.g. resell it to some other NR200 punter).

Thanks xyron for noting that it's not quite an NR200 plus glass side panel - it has a few extra as well: 2x120mm fans (vs 1x120mm and 1x92mm) and a PCIe riser for vertical GPU mounting.

NR200P also has a different rear layout as it has the vertical pci-e slots cut out for vertical GPU mounting, which the regular NR200 doesn't have. the NR200P also comes with 2 120mm sickleflow fans (as opposed to 1 120mm and 1 92mm in the NR200).

Great deal - absolutely love these cases!

    • Hello, is it possible to PM me your build list so I can have a go at it on the weekend? Would like to replace my microserver. Cheers.

    LOVE this case!

So many awesome examples on Youtube of exactly how much you can cram into this little beauty. Best decision I ever made buying one, very high build quality.
Such good value… I reckon they could sell this for double and still get stacks of sales.

I didn't go with the glass side version though, much prefer the extra airflow by the mesh side. And with a full size GPU in there, that side of the case gets HOT.

    • I'm looking for a deal on a W200 with the P200 addon.

We are going in different directions as far as PCs.

      • Those really tempted me for a home server instead of a rack, but I hate windows, even more when they aren't even glass. And for $500, a plastic window is a bit stingey.

Would buy one if they can introduce an aluminum version

    • Have a look at the Lian Li TU150 if you need aluminium, although I'm not sure why anyone would specifically seek aluminium over steel? Added cost for minimal benefit. The TU150 does also have a neat folding handle if you are likely to move the PC around a lot (which could be the only benefit of going aluminium i can think of - lower weight).

      • Yeah don't really like the look of TU150 tho. Going for aluminum just for the aesthetics personally. I used Ncase before but then nowadays bigger GPUs can no longer fit in so looking for some replacements.

      • Bought the Tu150 solely for the handle! Great as I move it around between my standing desk, tv unit, and bedroom. It is not as small as a lot of other ITX cases though at 24L - but it fits a full-size graphics card and large CPU coolers.

      • Because these are smaller cases an aluminium version should conduct heat much better than a steel version. For always on applications I'd say that's important.

  • Tempted. I’m kinda holding out for the NR200P Max in a matte black. It’s gotta happen, surely?

Hugely different price point through. You're probably looking at $450+ for the max anywhere in Australia right now.

  • Only downside is that NHD15 doesnt fit in this

    • Scythe Fuma 2 seems to be the best alternative, shame availability in Aus is poor

    • it does check on reddit. someone filed the connecting vent holes that lined up with the cooler tops of the nhd15. if only i knew that earlier i would of done it.

Take a look at the NH-U12S or NH-U9S

  • I see nr200, I upvote

  • Been using this for almost a year and was the perfect size to fit alongside my TV cabinet setup. Only issue I had was having to deshroud my gpu to get it to fit, but ended up getting better temps than the stock card fans anyway in my old mid-size tower.

    • Which GPU didn't fit? 30 series strix?

      • 30 series gigabyte gaming oc. Though I should clarify my case setup had bottom intake fans, which when removed, allowed the gpu to fit as is, but just led to significantly worse thermals.

        • Gotcha, I was super confused cos this case has more clearance than my ncase and I've got a 30 series ftw3 card in that

  • Anyone know if a Dell Optiplex 9020SFF mobo would fit in this?

You'll have to find that specific MB's dimensions and screw holes etc and compare it against ITX specifications that is available online

  • Can you fit a 240rad + a 120rad in this? My Graphics card is a hybrid with a 240rad and I can settle with a 120rad for CPU

    Edit, based on following:
    Radiator Support - Top N/A
Radiator Support - Rear 92mm (not compatible with vertical GPU installation)
Radiator Support - Bottom 120mm, 240mm, (recommended for custom loops only)
    Radiator Support - Side 120mm, 140mm, 240mm, 280m

I guess the answer is no, I can only use a 92mm rad for CPU, which I don't have.. I don't understand why ITX cases do not utilize the front and just slap a big panel of solid aluminum there

    • People build triple 240 rads in the nr200 (albeit custom loops), just take a look around on Reddit

  • Man so tempting to go for an ITX build as I'm gonna transition to z690 and 12th gen intel from my z270/7700k soon. But the price of a z690 ITX board, new PSU, new cooler really adds up. I guess my fractal define r5 is still pretty nice.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed one. Going to enjoy slowly building a PC with all the price drop on components with the new tech coming online.

  • love this case, when built right, it is quiet, small, and subtle.

  • What motherboard and CPU and GPU do most usually put in these

I'm doing my first micro-ITX build, so I don't have much experience on the motherboards. This build is for software development, so probably isn't relevant for the gamers out there.
      - Intel 12600K: good value power, hopefully future-proof socket
      - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo V2 cooler: should just fit in the case
      - ASRock H670M-ITX/ax: cheapest LGA1700 ITX board available, but surprisingly good specs - if the quality holds up
      - 2x16GB DDR4: no interest in DDR5 so long as it's double the price with high latencies
      - No GPU: maybe when the prices drop, but the CPU will do the job until then
      - Corsair CX550F PSU: taking quality and modularity over size for this one. It's a full ATX form factor PSU, but relatively compact, so it should fit with the NR200's 3D-printable ATX bracket

One trick I've picked up this time is when by buying components individually off eBay (Plus) from the usual retailers, you can often save the higher of 5% or $5 on each one, which can add up for cheaper parts.

      • I was hearing talks about the 12th gen needing better cooling will lthat be an issue with this size case

        • TBH I don't know for sure. But 12600K is not the hungriest SKU - I'd be more worried with a 12900K. Plus if I have a GPU at all, it won't be a high-end one.

One thing I do know about the NR200 is you can fit a buttload of case fans in there, so you can always get more airflow.

          • @Pie21: Good plan, try it and if it stays hot (i.e. 75C regularly) then a case fan or two extra should help.

From a pure heat standpoint it can go 100W TDP at load vs a AMD 5600X at 65W TDP. That's at the CPU lid, once you add in space in the case and well placed case fans it should still be fine for actual heat in the case.

  • Showing up as $139, does one need to sign in to see the special price (without having to join whatever premium access schemes)?

    • :( Looks like it. I'm not a premium kinda guy so I'm not sure.

    • I have it showing up at $95, only Premium Umart members get the $79 price it seems
