      That's the point.

  • what happened to discount deals, you guys actually sold stuff that wasnt junk :(

    • This is pretty good bike for little kids - for learning to balance. Got one few years back. Not a junk, price is good too.

    • Hi mate, I didn't enjoy the work to be honest. Going back into the software business ha ha, much more fun. Site is for sale if anyone wants it!

      • Sounds like a common problem… a IT mate of mine opened an online store, and is now in the process of closing it down. SAP consulting isn't that bad after all!

I don't need one of these bikes - my son still has one. But they are a good unit and my son loves his. His sister has a scooter but he loves his balance bike. 2 for $60 delivered seems good to me.

  • 1-day.com.au has a similar but better quality bike on sale for about $40 at least 3 days a year.

The key difference is the end of the handlebars has rubber "bulges" which helps protect fingers from injury by preventing fingers from coming into contact with the ground.

The site says free delivery Australia wide, but it costs $20 more for NSW? And the "regular price" for NSW & VIC is $60 more?

Increasing the price to cover extra shipping costs then saying free delivery… you guys are pathetic

    • +1

Wow. The bikes are being sold at below cost and you are still whinging. And you are calling us pathetic?

Obviously delivery is never 'free', someone has to pay for it. When companies advertise 'free delivery' it simply means that the delivery cost is built into the advertised price. i.e. 'delivery included' it's well accepted to say 'free delivery' and absorb the cost into the advertised product cost. This makes it easier for everyone (perhaps not everyone….)

$80 to NSW is below cost. In fact the delivery from where I am to VIC is generally a lot more than $20 so technically we are losing more on that deal than the QLD one.

Ok where do we start here. Below cost? Yep, hear it all the time mate. It's not hard to find the wholesale costs of these bikes from China. And notice how I didn't attack the total price, just commented on the free shipping bit? No, obviously you didn't. Better re-read my entire two sentence comment.

Don't know what you're on about with free delivery meaning the shipping costs are absorbed into the cost of the product. Having differing pricing schedules for the product due to higher shipping costs means you are doing exactly the opposite, and still calling it free shipping not acceptable, you are just shoving the shipping cost into the product price.

Can you explain what is easier about having two different prices for a product for different areas with two different product pages on your website for two different states, instead of just listing the product on one page with varying the shipping cost?

  • Looks like a good price to me.
OO is selling the same bike for $60. http://www.oo.com.au/Wooden-Balance-Bike-Suitable_P36361.cfm

You can read the reviews there for more info.

I'd buy this two for one deal if I had twins. But my daughter doesn't need two bikes.
