might be better for work and cheaper

Why am I getting negative votes? Not complaining, Just wondering

      • +1

        Probably because it's not 144hz.

  • Better than the Dell S2722DGM?

    • the dell one seems better just from specs alone? 165hz vs 144hz, 350 nits vs 300 nits, freesync premium vs freesync

      • Thanks. Dell one seems cheaper and better.

      • +2

This is 31.5 inch vs 27 inch for the dell. Depends on how you value the extra screen space.

        • +4

I'll wait until the S2722DGM is at $299 again. The ozbargain in me can't pay more than the amount I've seen it cheaper at haha

      • +1

It's better, but none of those are the reason why: it's got significantly better overall response times.

  • Damn just jumped onto OW to see if they will match and their prices are already $349 .. hahaha

Can't find many reviews on this though :(

  • Do you guys use curved screen for office work?

I've tried in the past and felt less comfortable compared to seeing everything flat, not sure if it is pavlovian conditioning from decades of staring at outlook on a flat surface or if there is actually some science here. Mind you this curve is pretty slight.

    • +1

Yes, I do. I have a Gigabyte G34WQC at my workplace and I can't go back to flat-screen anymore. Just addicted to it.

  • Once you go curved, you can't go back. Ngl, but when I use a flat screen monitor (24 and 27 inch but not a tv at normal viewing distance) it actually feels like it's curved backwards. It's weird, but I read other people experience similar.

You can definitely go back and forth, this is just a visual processing thing.
