In development for 7 years by a single developer, TUNIC combines an isometric Zelda inspired action adventure with soulslike combat. Being a new release and having a positive reception on Steam this title is well worth checking out.

91% very positive on Steam. I'll check this out for sure. Thanks OP.

    • The demo was rough!

Getting good reviews now, and I'm tempted by anything like a 2D/isometric cartoony adventure game, à la Death's Door and Zelda OG.

      Can anyone recommend this?

really enjoying it so far, about 2 hrs in

I just sat down to play it at lunch and looked up and its after 5pm. The loop is so good. Whilst it has some soul's type of elements its much more toned down and the figuring things out and getting the ingame manual and slowly having that translated adds to the magic. Would be interesting playing it again from scratch with all the knowledge you gain.

Graphically beautiful. Although you can play with touch controls… it’s definitely not ideal.

Looks like it's made for 10 year olds.

It’s made for our 10 year old souls, and adult skills

Surprisingly compelling game. Great visual style, solid gameplay, good soundtrack.

Good timing. Just platinumed Elden Ring and my headache is starting to go away. This should bring it back.

    Zero escape is the pick

Sadly I’m not interested in souls style games so this one only lasted about an hour before being uninstalled. Thank goodness for game pass.

I’ve nearly completed it. Highly recommend this game, looks gorgeous and is brilliantly designed to evoke the feeling of old NES adventure games.
You won’t like it though if you’re not prepared to figure things out by yourself as the game gives you very little direction. The boss fights are tough but there are always save points nearby so death is not too punishing.
There are secrets and hidden paths everywhere and the puzzles are very rewarding to solve yourself.

  • got this and yakuza like a dragon on my playlist for next to play on pc

Soundtrack composed by Lifeformed….no wonder it sounded good.

  • Game Pass is really great :)

  • I enjoyed the start but sadly, it crashes after playing for a short while like a lot of gamepass games for me. Not sure what it is that my PC doesn't like with Gamepass. Halo works mostly fine but I expect it to break because it was rushed. Even Children of Morta crashed on me, and I don't expect it to be very taxing on my computer.

    • Sometimes the only way to fix the UWP Windows Store and apps is a fresh install. Sad fact of GP.
