BOOST Mobile Pre-Paid 12 Months - What Happens after The Expiry Date?

Was wondering what happens after Boost pre-paid 12 months sim deal expires?
Bought one of those on special and soon it will expire.
If I buy another BOOST 12 months like this (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/685974 ) can I just continue on, or do I have to port out to optus for 30+ days and then port back to BOOST on this deal ?

Cheers

Buy new starter pack and chat with boost . They will fix it.

Search the forum for more info.

    • link to the forum?

Did this last week. As the above poster mentioned, online chat with support. They'll take the new sim serial number and move your number over to the new sim. I was almost instantly connected while on the chat itself.

and don't try and top up before the end of the period - it doesn't stack, and new plan just replaces the old one :/

  • awesome, thank you Ozbargain people!!!

  • just a current update. I had been with Boost for 12 months and bought a $200 sim via Ozbargain deal reco, and just had the old sim converted to the new sim via online chat. https://boost.com.au/pages/web-message-us I tried calling and they refused to do it via the phone method. Super helpful on online chat, but took ages to get connected.

  • Can i buy a Boost12 sim from the above link as it says expired, but stocks are available. Safe to buy from the link mentioned above. Will Boost accept this sim. My Boost 12 months sim is expiring next month.

    • The link above just shows as expired because the discount has expired, so it is back to the full price.

There are other discounted offers around at the moment, or the seller above may have another discounted offer soon.

There should be no problem using a discounted SIM to "recharge" your service - the Boost online chat service have been very helpful swapping an existing service onto a new SIM for me several times.
