jollyrogga found the trade in price for level 4 (so we can calculate the trade in price for every level). Information on birthday and level up bonus is available on the Web and I am a level 5 member this year so I know the benefits of other levels from past experience. I haven't called EB to find out about level 5 level up bonus though.
EB does adjust the base trade in price regularly though so if a lot of people started trading in this game, EB will drop the base trade-in value of the game.
@dReam10: Generally for games it's about 33%-37% of the preowned sale price. For consoles it's about ~46%.

Is this a level 4 bonus only?
Birthday trade in bonus starts from level 3 I think. Not sure whether EB changed things recently, there is also level up bonus, which includes once off trade-in bonus voucher for certain levels (for level 4, it is $20, probably $10 for level 3, unclear about Level 5), which you could use in combination. The thing with level up bonus vouchers is that you need to request for them as they do expire within a month.
Birthday trade in bonus + level bonus is really good.

If you install this on a PS5, and upgrade for free can you play it off your external HDD?

You cannot play the PS5 remastered version from an external HDD. You can play the PS4 version from the external HDD on your PS5 (but that means you are willing to keep PS4 version installed).

I can't fit anything on the internal HDD, most games are 80-90gb.This sucks, alot of transferring on/off. No wonder everyone sells games after playing!
Dumb question, why don't you just delete the game? The save still stays. You can always redownload if you want to replay.
@tajid: Download a game takes time. Also, if you are on a budget type of NBN plan, downloading games can affect other family members' Internet experience.
Get a PCIe gen 4 NVMe SSD and install it to the PS5?
~$350 for 2TB. People selling games after playing mainly because that's generally the most cost effective way. Can always buy back later when they are heavily discounted.
@netsurfer: Yep I love used games, rarely scratched and I prefer single player so no codes lost for redeeming
@netsurfer: if you're gonna dump $350 on solving this problem, i'd just go for a high speed unlimited NBN plan which you'd be able to get an awesome plan for a year or two for that money, then delete and re-download games at will. bonus, you get super fast nbn for the whole household for that time as well
