    Awesome game!

    • Yeah my kid loves this game. Always amusing to me when I walk in the room and he is in a smash up derby with like 24 ride on mowers. lol. Also cool car playgrounds and his usual car of choice is actually a sofa! Looks like tremendous fun. Bargain at this price.

      • Excited to get this game - loved Destruction derby from the PSOne days!

        • While the Derby's are good, the game shines in the Championships and races. They have different competitions\challenges which are good, usually 2 weekly and 2 daily events. 1 is normally a race and the other a destruction derby.

Easy to earn points, upgrade and customise your vehicles, purchase new vehicles with credits. I found it quite easy to get the credits\points, like it wasn't a grind.

It's free on Gamepass for people with PC and Xbox.

    • Yeah have to upgrade for series x version though which is worth it.

      • SX is a great machine, for some reason even though I have SSD a plenty on my PC, boot times on SX appear much quicker. It could be due to GamePass portal etc, but the SX feels more breezy to me.

Whilst checking for this game on PS4, I discovered the PS4 version's on sale @ $15.98 via the PS Store
    https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP4389-CUSA08652…

    • Any idea if any major differences between ps4 and ps5 version?

      • They're charging more for the PS5/4 version over the 4 which would mean there is a PS5 optimised version. Not 100% sure but it makes no sense to have the PS4 only version at a different price.
Not too keen on PS stores no description of either.

      • Frame rate is much better on the PS5 version.
The PS4 version can then be upgraded to the PS5 version for $15 through the PS Store.

Pretty sure it was available on PS Plus, make sure to check you haven't already got it before you buy!

    • +1

Yes it was PS5 version, issue is when you view Plus Games on the Store they don't say "purchased" or "In-Library" but let you buy.
A few times I am almost purchased titles I already have under PS Plus.
So to see if you own, you need to check your Library!!

      • Great tip, that's crap Sony don't show you've already got it

Fun game, my only gripe is the no local multiplayer which reduces its replayability for me.

Not much split screen stuff nowadays. Which, considering tellys are 4 times bigger, is a bit of an oversight.

  • Dropped on Amazon now
