my local Coles is selling @ $1/kg, average quality
and it's $7-$10 a box my local market, but quality isn't good, many black dots…
For $1 a box, I doubt how good the quality is
2 weeks ago they were $8 my local Aldi, I don't understand…

They had $5 a box and 50c a kilo on Wednesday from memory. They were ripe.
I'm guessing these are the leftovers and will be overripe.
I wish it extended further up the coast. It's still around $3/kg. Unrelated but Ginger still hasn't come down past $40/kg, despite the export market slowing down and farmers being paid heaps less for it now. Was able to get it for $13/kg a couple of years back.
Good bargain but it will cost me $100 gas money to drive there in my RAM TRX

They will be pretty ripe. They were 50c/kilo the other day and were already ripe. Great for someone who wants to make banana bread or spread the banana love around to family and friends.

I dunno. Even for $29 is it worth it? That's like 377kg - 435kg of bananas (nearly half a tonne!)

Talking about bananas, 5yrs ago i went into hospital for heart palpitation and was told I was low in potassium. Since then I ate at least 1 banana a day. 5yrs later, i started having hives and found out banana is high in histamine and so I stop eating bananas now!
