RESPONSIVE TRAINING FOR THE ROAD.

The road is your runway. Get ready to take flight in the workhorse with wings. Back with extra bounce that's perfect for hitting the tarmac. Whether you're racking up everyday miles or on your long run, feel the spring in your step with the same cushioned support as its predecessor. Breathable mesh in the upper combines the comfort and durability you want with a wider fit at the toes.

Something Old, Something New

A wider forefoot means more space for your toes, while the shoe's fit maintains the comfortable feel you expect from the Pegasus. Mesh in the upper feels breathable and plush while stretching with your foot for a comfortable shape and fit.

Spring With Your Step

Nike React foam is lightweight, springy and durable. More foam means better cushioning without the bulk. A Zoom Air unit puts more bounce with every step. It's closer to your foot for responsiveness.

Secure Fit

Midfoot webbing gives a snug fit when you tighten the laces.

More Benefits

More foam in the tongue helps cushion the top of your foot.

  • +AU9.50 delivery. Note not all are at the discounted price but enough are to make this interesting. Funnily enough I had bought some custom ones for AU$200 last week but I got another pair just then as backup.

Here is an excellent review on the Pegasus 38s in case you want to read up on it but be fast as your size will probably sell out before you finish it. :-)

    Thanks OP!

      My pleasures!

Pegasus 38 actually has decent reviews, thought of posting it here to let everyone know.

I was this price about a week ago .. not selling that fast

  • Can recommend Brooks Hyperion Tempo over this, think it's still 149 at athletes foot

    • Thanks mate

  • This is a fairly good price, Nike Outlets are still selling 36s for $90 or so. 38s seem to have good reviews.

    • Any bargains at the outlets?

      • Nike doesn't really run discounts at the outlet for shoes, they just discount the older models, very hit and miss with the "leftover" shoes in terms of style and sizing, those have an extra discount applied.

You can find 40% off at Adidas Outlet probably once every 2 - 3 weeks, I'd suggest Ultraboosts with 40% off as an upgrade over pegasus, they end up around $110 - $120 but I'd say they are overall more comfortable for walking. I find pegasus a better running shoe though and is popular on r/runningshoegeeks.

        • Ultraboost an upgrade? I think Pegasus are a more comfortable running and walking (especially) shoe. Ultraboost I find are overrated, too heavy, some seem to like them, I just don't get it..

End of the day it's up to the individual. People should go into a shop and try them all on for themselves, then buy.

      • Or any of my beloved (and discontinued) Pegasus turbo 2’s?

    Boring shoe

my pair just arrived today. took about 7 business days to get to Perth, shipped from Amsterdam. The shoes are very comfortable.

      Great shoes!

  • Are these any good for playing volleyball?

    • +2

These are runners made for running, not supportive sports where you go side to side.

  • These are nice looking shoes! Alot of runners are thick and chunky these days.

    • +1

The chunkyness you see is generally from all the special cushioning you get for runners. If you get normal gym trainers, you will find that they are almost flat in comparison with a wider base for stability. These particular shoes are designed for a bit more energy feedback in the front of the foot (ball area) and general comfort but not as much energy return in others.

  • I have serious flat feet, I wonder how's this model compares with the Ultraboost ST/2019/20? Anyone has experience with these pairs?

I'm tired of wearing the same brand over the years

    • +1

These tend be narrower near the middle to compensate for arch, I don't have diagnosed flat feet, more like ultra low arches. I find Brooks Glycerin GTS the most comfortable followed by Asics Kayano. Hokas are also good I own a Bondi 7 and the cushioning is next level but as walkers the Brooks and Asics are far more comfortable

      Try the Pegs then.

Ultraboosts 19 are god awful for running, IMO. I have several pairs of UB but only use them for casual wear.

Peg 36 was brilliant. Peg 37 no good. Peg 38 is supposed to be a return to greatness - I'm keen to try them.

    • out of all the ultraboosts, i'd say the ub 21 and 22s are more suited for running as they have firmer boost.
did a quick sprint with the 21s and was pleasantly surprised. would still get a proper running shoe for longer runs

  • I find the 38's a little heavier so better for walking and they have thickened the mesh which has it's good and bad points. I still find the 36 and 37's a better model for actual running, but good price nonetheless 👍

  • I went into Athletes foot today at Carindale, QLD and they honoured the price match for this deal. Just in case someone didn't want to wait for shipping or wanted to try them on first

    • Did you like it Dave?

  • I think the pegasus 39s are coming out soon, so there's a lot on sale. If i didn't already have a pair of 38s i'd probably get a pair of the ekiden or BRS colourway.

Pegasus 3 Trail Gore-tex are on sale as well…

Stack anything at Nike with the 30% cashback Cheddar deal

    • Here is the link to the deal if anyone is interested.

  • Looks like the pure black Peg 38s are now on sale. They were at $180 earlier in the week.

  • Thanks OP I'll be upgrading from pegasus 33.

    • Don't forget that there is a heap of great clothing that is heavily discounted as well. Use that to make up the total to $200 to avoid the delivery cost.
