I have one of these and a cheaper one from Amazon. The Oodie branded jumper is pretty much twice as thick as the cheaper one, and much better quality as an FYI.
So this CottonOn one is in between Oodie and your cheaper Amazon one in term of thickness? Agreed with other above, the snoopy design looks cute

We have both. The oodie is significantly thicker and the Ali one is much more plastic feel

I actually own two from Big W as a cheaper alternative and after receiving my Oodie, can confirm the Oodie is much thicker. In saying that, the Big W one keeps me very warm!
I bought a $30 budget version last year and it is amazing. Some of the cheaper ones are quite a bit thinner, but mine is almost as thick as an original Oodie. There are other brands out there that are cheaper and just as thick.
A couple of kids sized ones are on sale too, thanks for the post OP - my twins will love these in winter!
