    Any thoughts on AMD CPU on laptop in regards to stability, performance and heat? For desktops I have no problem recommending AMD

      Been using heaps of the 4th gen Ryzen laptops (4450u, 4650u, 4700u & 4750u) in our work fleet and haven't had any real dramas. Performance I've noticed they're just as fast if not faster than the 11th gen Intel equivalents.

    I purchased my very first AMD Thinkpad - T14s (AMD) Second Gen for my daughter in Dec 2021. The T14s (AMD) is FAST but had blue screen symptom (crush) almost daily. I am very disappointed because it has not happened on any Intel-Thinkpads I used (am using) before (Thinkpad family such as T23, T500, T61p, Z61t, X1 carbon G3&G4 and X1 carbon extremeG2). I almost wanted to return it until I found out the reason as below:

    Power management
    Enabling S3 sleep
    For Suspend to work as expected, enter UEFI/BIOS setup, enter the page "Config -> Power" and set the option "Sleep State" to "Linux".
    This will enable S3 sleep as opposed to "Windows 10 Mode", which Arch Linux does not support at this time. (Despite the warning in the setting's description, Windows will continue to work; it will just sleep in S3 mode, rather than the "Windows 10" mode)
    By changing UEFI/BIOS setting, the machine is rock-solid. I am not sure why Lenovo let "Windows 10 Mode" be a default power setting.
