Decided to buy it today anyway and found the discount on online shopping, not sure if this is online only tho.

  • Dis any good?

    • They are all pretty much a coil element and a fan. The element in this runs around 1200w.

      • any basket that won't rust or flake off ?

unlikely, considering almost all airfryers came with crappy non-stick pot

        • I got the really cheap one a while back from woolies and there's no rust and nothing sticks as long as you don't scratch it up like use normal dish sponge..don't put metal scrubber to it like me 😂

        • I noticed that the paint coat/ teflon on the removable tray is rubbish in one area. It feels rough, will collect carbon, chip and rust in no time. So quality control isn't great. I was tempted to swap it. But I bought it from a store a fair distance away. Still can play a warranty card down the track if need be.

          • @tunzafun001: I have the 3.5ltr mistral one that's currently $49 at woolies but has gone on sale a few time for around $34 that's when I grabbed it and had no issues. It's used for dry foods though most times e.g chips, chicken tenders, even put steamed dimsims or just my daily toast and sometimes lightly marinated salmon or burgers. I've had no issues, maybe it's just luck or ventilation is more

            • @Alienzzz: Yeah, I have the same. These went as low as $19, think I paid $35. I'd say the quality control is pretty poor.
They are super cheap, but really they are just a simple element, a fan, a thermostat and a spring timer. So is what it is.

  • Should be able to get a further 10% off if you have insurance through Woolworths

  • reviews ? compared to ALDI/Kogan ones?

I have the 3.5L once which i got for around 30 bucks. works well had it for 2 years.. no problems..

Comes with a bonus dad joke: "A judge has declared this a mistral…"

  • Does this have a removable basket?

    • "Easy to clean detachable non-stick basket with rack"

    • To answer my own question, no, it does not have a removable inner basket. You need tongs to get the food out or tip out the outer basket including the oil build up at the bottom. I regret buying it now.

  • Wow nice that they have the digital controls now… The 3.2 only got a knob which can be difficult to use when your hands are oily…

  • My knob version (not digital) is good. Only issue is the basket has rusted but we still use it lol.

    • Got the same one.. mine fine… trick is to cover it with baking paper before frying.. last longer and easier to clean

      • If you cover it with anything it won't cook as it is intended for the hot air to circulate around the food.

Bought one to replace the knob version and returned it. Felt the digital version was gimmicky, but more importantly its top metal casing gets very hot so I can't push against it to remove the basket when the cooking is done, not sure if I got a dud.

Holding out for a branded 5L air fryer to come on sale.

After 2 hours and no mention of

    Just get a Phillips XXL

    I'm very much surprised.

ppl know that spending $300 on an overpriced airfryer that works the same as $40 one is for dumb-F&*ks

  • Awesome thanks OP!
My crappy one from Kogan broke again. It had already been replaced via warranty too.

Good timing. Picked up the last one on the shelf at my local.
Got a pack of pies too and they turned out great!

    • Did you buy in store or online then C&C? I'm just wondering if this is online only or the same price in store too.

      • +2

In store. I checked stock before I went in store.
It's $42 and has a yellow sales tag on the shelf.

  • I had mine at $49, it has been put on action for months, it still running smoothly… but the result is not great for chips and wedges
