    Does OLED burn in?

  • Do I stick with the 1080p screen, which is antiglare (25% outdoor use) and buys me a fair bit more battery time at a lower price?
Is there a better alternative at that price point elsewhere?

    • This is a larger laptop so not too comparable but similar specs. Larger battery and cheaper than the 1260p by around 350 bucks.

As for battery life, at 150 nits you get 23 hrs vs 14 hrs for video playback or 13 hrs vs 10.5 hrs for benchmarking by selecting the 1080p screen. IMO 14" is too small to get a 4K screen.

      • different types: 1.4kg vs 2.0kg, you will pay premium for the smaller size and lighter.
Also display is better: 400nit vs 300nit
Performance side, also better: this with lpddr5-5200 ram vs ddr4-3200
not sure dell ssd pcie version, this one pcie 4.0

this one is top range of Lenovo consumer laptop, like dell XPS.

oh, Lenovo 4 mic vs 2 mic

      • What is you want to watch your GoPro videos in 4K? Get a monitor?

    • IMO yes, 4K sucks on a laptop.

No, it doesn't, especially with a display like this which will scale 1920x1200 at 200% perfectly. These days in Windows 11 scaling is pretty good and most software has caught up. I was a big hold but now I use a 2560X1600 display IdeaPad, I will definitely go for something like this when it becomes available from Lenovo in a 15in display.

For the two cheaper options you're able to add a "14.0" 2.8K WQHD+ (2880x1800) OLED 400nits Glossy, 100% DCI-P3, Glass, HDR 400, Dolby Vision, 10-point Multi-touch" for an extra $199.99 and after 30% it's only $139.99. Seems like the best of both worlds of a higher resolution OLED display that will save battery life.

  • Good finding, ordered i5 1240p 1080p one, long waiting time though …

    • How long?

      • it says: Ships in more than 8 weeks

      • The one in title "Ships in 2 business days"

    Hm this thing looks sleek.

  • Seems like their AMD range laptops are going to be cheaper. Therefore, Lenovo started with Intel first.
