Please also give attention to item description as an honest seller on ebay we dont want you to except this is an Ipad

If you like to purchase one please click on make an offer button and enter $35 with a note saying "ozbargain"

GENERAL UPDATE:
According to comments on this listing We still believe its a great offer for ozbargain users , yes we know that its not fast as latest ones or an ipad of course, technology moved and our expectations are really high as well but please where can you get a photo frame with music player or a digital clock 7" or a calculator, Whats the cheapest price for Kindle? $35 you can use it as Kindle and on the side you can defiantly use it for other basic things as mentioned.

If we were advertised this from over $100 yes you right you can find much better ones when you pay quite a bit more but at this price its not a beatable offer or as promised we will beat any offer if you can find it cheaper.

Im glad that we are able to make any comment on this website regarding this item and thanking everyone who made comment negative or positive, in that case we understand what we are getting at this price and also please guys we are not BIG W and we will make sure look after our customers who made purchase from Has Clearance. As you can see from our feedback on ebay our customer service is great and we are still trying our best to provide better service also it has been proven by over 10.000 individual online shoppers by leaving positive feedback

Please read item description, FAQ provided by manufacturer, watch the video on listing and after you receive this product if its different than what you have paid for we will make a full refund in 7 Days when you return it back.

Thanks again for everyone who made a comment and purchased this unit

Update: Battery life is about 3.5-4 hours with the screen on (min brightness) and wireless on as well. I think I still need to find a more efficient rom or I may have to learn how to make my own, and in that respect this is a good device to learn on. I'm almost tempted to get another as a guinea pig. Its a catch 22; for me to get another one I would need an efficient rom, but I need another one to make & test the rom :)

Some apps from the market have some issues (eg DI Radio, it just says 'connecting' forever) and some are restricted to older versions eg Facederp.

There also seems to be a bug in that when the device comes out of sleep it doesn't always remount the mu-sd card (or something like that).

Update: sigh, it still is just Android 1.6 :(

I just spent the last 20minutes ripping literally every app out (uninstalling where possible or deleting the apk when not) of this (custom rom) just to see if performance could be increased and I am happy to say that it can be improved. I removed every app that required typing (chat/email etc)(because typing is pretty lame) or tried to boost performance (cache cleaner/swap etc)(they use more resources than they save), so now with only 18 apps installed (basically; market, opera mini, file explorer, gallery, music, xiialive) it now has about 100+mb ram free (145mb when no apps are running) and seems more responsive.

Unfortunately, this device is pretty much limited to music playback and displaying images. The lack of video acceleration restricts video playback aswell as OS performance (particularly when scrolling). Some alternative launchers provender a more responsive interface eg ADW.Launcher is better then the stock one. There may be better ones still.

          Final comments;
          - Is it worth $35? Yes, but its not worth $49.
          - The battery life is actually surprisingly good, not the 10+ hours of other tablets of course but 4 hours is nothing to be sneered at
          - In reality the target user is now a tinkerer or someone willing to put in some time and play about with it, not the standard user.
          - As you may have guessed, if you want an actual tablet to use for tablety things, spend 10 times the amount and get something actually useful
          - After owning 3 tablets now; Acer Iconia A500, Acer Iconia A501 and this Dreambook, the Dreambook is the only one I would buy again

        • Agreed, thanks heaps. I've just received mine today and will check out the links from Mike and yourself and see what can come of it!

First impressions aren't terrible tbh, it looks like a much more expensive device and isn't too difficult to navigate. It does lag somewhat, but nothing too terrible (I can think of some of my old 'smart' phones which were significantly worse!). My first trouble was that I couldn't connect to WIFI, each time I tried the application would have to force shutdown as it was non-responsive. Anyway for $35 I'm not disappointed at all

    • thanks for the hands on update mate.

Just got mine in the mail now…it's not great, but not completely un-usable either (keeping in mind it only cost $35). I think I will be flashing it too and seeing what I can do with it. Worst case, I have a reasonable sized digiframe.

  • is it still available now? I want to pick tomorrow
