Logitech MX Keys Keyboard - 2 Different Keyboard Layout?

Hi guys, I am looking to buy the Logitech MX keys to replace my current K800. I am however puzzled by the layout of this keyboard.

https://www.ple.com.au/Products/637745/Logitech-MX-Keys-Rech…

The PLE website at the beginning of the page shows a version with a larger enter key but the "|" key is now moved to the bottom left hand side, beside the shift key. I don't like this layout.

Just immediately below the above image, shows another layout with a smaller enter key with the "|" key just above it, exactly the same as my current K800.

It seems to me that this keyboard is available in 2 layouts - but the thing is that when i am shopping for this keyboard, I cant tell which layout will it be shipped with.

The JB Hifi website shows the one with a larger enter key.

How do I check to ensure that the MX keys that i wanted (assuming will be buying off Amazon/eBay) is the one with the smaller enter key?

Thanks

The part number and Universal Product Code number for the KB layout you want is

    MPN
    920-009418

    UPC
    0097855152909

Not every store will show the MPN. JB Hi-Fi does and you can press CTRL+F to find MODEL: 920-009418(MXKEYS)

You can also type in '920-009418' into google and you'll be shown results from stores carrying that item.

There are ISO (tall enter key) and ANSI (wide enter key)

The model number on both is the same: 920-009418

Check the Logitech website I guess to see which layout matches the model number.

    • so it the MPN number is the same for both keyboard layout, then how do I verify that the keyboard I am buying is the ANSI (wide enter key) one?

      • Sorry I wasn't clear.

The model number is the same for both PLE and JB. I don't know what the correct model number you need is.

I purchased mine from JB Hi-Fi and the Logitech MX Keys has the longer shift and enter key shown on Logitech AU.

On Amazon AU click the AU layout button.

I see. The AU layout is the one with the wide enter key. thanks for letting me know.

Also bought mine from JB Hi-Fi and can back this statement up.

  • I was confused as well when looking at various online sellers for MX Keys and MX Keys Mini. I concluded that there's just a bunch of generic photos from other markets which are used in various online listings. Check the model number (although I think for MX Keys Mini I did note some minor variations… who knows maybe BOLT receiver is included in some? Shrug).

I ended up buying from the Good Guys online though to avoid any risk of getting some other market's different layout.

for that price just build a custom mechanical keyboard. you can go cheaper at first and upgrade as you go.

    PART NUMBER
    920-009418

9418 will ONLY appear on the Logitech Aus site, and ONLY from Aus resellers, not internationally. Amazon has several grey import versions that are NOT the Aus layout. Verify the part number on each page. Don't necessarily trust photos as listed on reseller's websites, since they don't know any better and use international photos.

      Legend mate.

So the 920-009418 is the one that I wanted (with a straight Enter key, not L-shape) and this is also called the Aus Layout?

      • +1

        That's absolutely correct.

I should know, I have two of them. Best keyboards I've ever owned!

        • cheers mate!!

  • I’ve had both full size and now the mini and love it :)

Mini recommended by work H&S as I had shoulder problems. They reckon stretching arm too far with the wider standard keyboard. Could be.

Great to carry on the occasional trip to the office while WFH.

One negative about it, what ever is used to cover the keys, after using it for a few months the CTRL key has worn off and a blob of led light coming through it. The ctrl letters are gone. Rest of the keys are fine.

Might look at replacing it at Harvey Norman.

    Had it since 10/21.

  • Facing the problem but with the mini now. Amazon is showing the L shaped enter key and not sure if its just a picture issue or the actual L shaped key
